Four commercials for Slim Jim, in which urban hunters stalk convenience stores to ensnare the titular creatures. I'm not sure whether they're creepy or actually kinda endearing, but I do enjoy the overall concept and general vibe of the setting.
These were part of a large integrated marketing campaign by Crispin, Porter + Bogusky. Other "Snapalope" materials ranged from stickers on ice boxes outside real convenience stores, all the way to Snapalope targets available at shooting ranges. Seriously.
They don't make me want to try the product, though, which I knew by reputation but hadn't really looked into the details of before. They market these things as "meat sticks"? I guess they aren't dissimilar to Pepperami in the UK, and the Slim Jim marketing still manages to be more tasteful than that.
