My granny is down right now and she plays this song over and over plays pray for her. Cause we serve an awesome God and shes going to get up out this bed and walk again.
I love these spirituals. When I was 10-12 yrs old, I used to sneak out at night and go to the Mount Olive Baptist Church to listen to the singing. I was the only white face there, but those precious people made me feel welcome and the Lord blessed me every time. Each time I hear a song like this, I am transported back to those times and I long to once more see those lovely people who gave this kid a thrill with their singing.
