@Arioch I don't think it's a bot, because no enough evidence + have you seen this "bot" give a comment at the same time on 2 different videos? Meh this isn't my battle to fight because I too lack evidence of proving him not a bot
9:03 "then we go through a bunch of random bullshit about skills being upgraded" made me chuckle so much seeing as how tense the moment was when i saw the anime myself lol
i suppose it is a little confusing seeing as both the great sage/Raphael skill and the world have the same voice. The scene was all about Raphael trying and failing several thousand times to upgrade skills until they could accomplish their master's wish, eventually offering other skills to make it happen
@@brandonlyon730 fun fact her skill chef works by literally bending reality to make any outcome she wants happen in this case her terrible food is good but it can be used on anything like torturing the king of Farmus by turning him into something so horrific it had to be censored in the anime
My bf and I were watching that episode together. We normally power through episodes and don't go back until it's over, but damn that scene was SO fucking funny. We went back immediately and watched him again 5 more times. Absolute gold
watching this is fine and all but watching the actual thing while it was airing had a different impact to it. rimuru along with us realizing that shion died, the extremely one sided fight on the 4 sides, and the megoddo reveal. sent chills down my whole body
I always find the "once powerful man is forced into the body of a busty woman" trope absolutely hilarious. I wish there were more stories revolving around the trope because it has so much potential for great storytelling and comedy moments.
Tha kazeriam back story is pretty sad. Spoiler: She was an elf girl who was disfigured and went through stuff to become demon lord kazeriam and was happy when they put him back in elf body.
"Why don't we just teleport everyone?" "That magic doesn't exist" "It sure does now" You can tell Rimuru is an actual demon lord now, cause all he does after his transformation is flexing the shit out of everyone. Literally every single demon lord is just flexing the whole time, except Clayman who is not a true demon lord. "Anyone who has to say 'I am the king' is not truly a king" - Tywin Lannister This seems to apply to demon lords aswell.
@@i_eat_chinchillas it isn't tho, not one of the rimuru's (normal) subordinates has an ultimate and if she got one just like that when not even all demon lords have one it would be pretty much strange
@@hundredsdaygaming the anime follows the LN while the manga will become the dark version(more brutal) If u want to read WN completely then don't mind both LN and manga :v Too bad that I didn't saw Veldora being weeb-ass lizard at LN but luckily he did those in manga which is funni
@@yunochanishere8616 wdym?? Ln is more brutal than manga especially the Ln falmuth army massacre having 1 whole chapter of explaining how the ppl who attacked tempest suffered more compare to anime and manga
Does anyone else find it surprising when they heard Carion insist on lending Rimuru aid and stating that he wouldn't have been able to take Clayman in his Psuedo-Demon Lord state. Personally, I find that as a hint that Clayman wasn't "weak", but that his opponent was just WAY stronger than him. I am also taking into account Clayman being the weakest member of the Moderate Harlequin Troupe/Alliance. Imagine if it were the stronger members had they been able to achieve the awakening properly...
Liquidating that army of over 10,000 people so revive a fraction of that many people was slightly worrying/disturbing but he's pretty much always a solidly moral and good guy bound for peace and compromise.
Shion unique ability is terrifying and while they focused on her cooking we go a brief glimpse of what she did to the King, High Priest and wizard and it was so horrible they pixelated it her special ability allows her ... Certain Outcome (確定結果 kakutei kekka?): Allows the user to overwrite the nature and Fate of an object, being or even laws. Even if one tries to oppose the user, the user will just overwrite it with a stronger wish. This skill is given absolute priority and must achieve the desired effects of the user. Only those who possess a similar skill can oppose the user. Shion can use this to turn her horrible cooking into something tasty (though the food looks the same). Unfortunately, this skill restricts itself to the manipulation of tastes, but has no effect what-so-ever on presentation. Optimal Action (最適行動 saiteki kōdō?): The user can read the flow of an energy source. Chaotic Fate: The user can alter the results of every type of natural phenomenon. She can literally turn you inside out and keep you alive so it's a little scary as self control isn't her strong point.
6:26 So instead of having Rimuru be forced to confront the horrors of the world and realise that his almost naive level of compassion will not work. Forcing him to go down a dark path where he is forced to make tough decisions to protect his people, creating an interesting and complex character who could present a story about the corruption of innocence and power...the problem was resolved in less than two episodes and Rimuru went back to being a perfect Gary Stu.
I’d argue he learned a lot form that. He doesn’t really trust anyone as much after that. And i would say it went pretty dark when he went and killed 20,000 people
Despite popular belief, dark and gritty is *not* a magical potion for stories to be "complex". Edit: Neither is making your good-natured main character a murder-hobo, "character development".
@@TheEddagosp And I 100% agree, but neither is having them be a complete paragon of virtue with no flaws who completely succeeds at everything with little to no effort on his part. Like being about to bring back all his friends who died after a massacre within a few episodes. He literally reversed death itself within a few episodes. Having a moment like this be a turning point for his character, where he is forced to come to turns that his naive policies won't work 100% of the time, and having his good intentions be slowly corrupted is, at least in my opinion, way more interesting than what we have.
goku: i get stronger with longer hair! saitama: i got really strong by becoming bald deku: i can be stronger when i eat hair! rimuru: i make others stronger by giving them names
The funnier thing is that the main antagonist is also dios va and both personalities are almost the same lol. And the fking kame kame ha from Veldora was hilarius
Thats because of what he wished for, skills actually take up 'space' inside a monster's body or soul lowering their magicule capacity and due to the amount of skills he gained at the beginning and his wishes leading to him to be reincarnated into a body completely made of magicules the only place in that world that he could be safely reincarnated into is in the cave veldora is in
I love these recaps but theres one thing i have to say for everyone to watch this anime. Its the sound in the battles! I usually watch anime with headphones on and oh my the sound effects are amazing! Give the fight more depths!
They would just chill with each other, Azusa would rather not get into a huge war and she doesn't go on a murder spree just because she can and as Rimuru's main goal is peace they wouldn't really threaten Azusa either unless she shows hostility which she wants to avoid in the first place
I want to see one of these over powered MC anime go interplanetary. After the first couple seasons they surpass all other gods, demons, monsters, heroes etc.. After they've subjugated the world, they give a speech to the entire planet saying we have to unify against much more powerful worlds and cosmic entities. Then begins the war for survival in a much larger universe full of dangers no one could have imagined so far.
The one thing I can't handle about this video is the pronunciation of the names of the characters. This is definitely one of my favorite anime, and it just makes me scream inside when I hear a name pronounced wrong. Good video though, my pet peeve just made it seem different I guess.
