Btw I caught Solea's first day by accident and didn't even know about Eva's whole legacy, but now after seeing clips of old shows I like them both equally
honestly i was so surprised!! and i saw eva live, and have been a fan of her for a long time, so she’s naturally my preference, but i’ve heard solea is wonderful!
just a comment on reeve’s epic I. while i don’t like the way that he ends his sentences in the song (i prefer when he sings it through), you can’t deny that the ending motif is one of his best. so beautiful, soft, and angelic
i’ve also seen chibueze on tour, and while his falsetto is (imo) insanely pretty, reeve is just otherworldly (honestly though i couldn’t choose between them)
@@davidnguyen478I agree, the way he spoke the sentences didn’t really do it for me but wow that was one of the most calming and beautiful “lalalas” I’ve ever heard in Hadestown, it really sounds like a voice that could do everything it does in the musical
brit west, amelia cormack, and lindsey hailes were the fates! eva noblezada as eurydice, reeve carney as orpheus, lillias white as hermes, tom hewitt as hades, and jewelle blackman as persephone! i can find the workers and swings later, but that’s all i have now.
