Hehe you should get as many as you can fit comfortably. I am currently going in every night with 12. Skipped the shoulders but kept the neck. Need to get shoulders further out on shoulders. 🤪😅

how do you get 14 trackers to work when vrchat can only use 8? Is it by using extensions? Do you need to run some software mods?

Vrchat uses max 11 points, 14 if you count in headsett+controllers. In slimeVR its abit different, 17 points is max. So in vrchat 1 vive feet tracker = slimeVR Feet+ankle (2). so all 14 points combined = 11 vive trackers. So I c 11 trackers floating while in steamVR but i wear 14 trackers iRL.

Heya! Love the video, but I have some issues on the mounting reset of the feet It's very difficult to make them face the right way, and I know there is a feet mounting reset by tiptoeing, but it's hard to squat and tiptoe at the same time What do you do for feet mounting?

Thanks for comment, regarding feet mounting im not sure. I have them these days laced to shoes and I use BMI160 IMU on feet so I can shuffle dance, since BNO085 don't like stomping. But I havent done the porportions since this video. So I just place all trackers on floor turn em on one by one from feet to neck, let them sit for 5 min then take one at a time on like in video. And do Mountin gcalibration when in steamvr. I use Yaw reset button a LOT since I move fast and then I drift no matter what :D

I saw the video and it looks really cool! I might try to make my own slime vr trackers, but what I am curious is on wondering where each of the 14 trackers are? Like listing out where each tracker is placed, just so I can get an idea of where I would need place mine at. Thank you!!!

Yo ofc I can list em , but I wear 12 everytnight these days. Since shoulders hard to get correct and hazzle to take on and when on not so comfy :D But here goes (feet+ankle=BMI160 for shuffle dance no stoimping issue, rest 8 are bno085 IMU) 2xfeeet BMI160 laced on to dance shoes 2xAnkle BMI160 on the side. 2xThigh facing front 1xHip under my short belt 1xWaist on left side abit over bellybutton 1xChest directly over Solarplexus Front face (hard if female?) 1xNeck collar facing backwards 2xElbows facing out to sides. Hope this helps. P.S I always let trackers get "warm" on the ground b4 taking em on 5 min +.

Hehe, I only do this 4 step ONCE. My body dont grow.. But I do use around 10-15 min to put on 12 trackers every night. But then my 12 trackers cost the same as ONE vive tracker ;)

How often do you need to calibrate? Im thinking about getting slime but don’t want to recalibrate a bunch with my vive trackers I only need to maybe once or twice a play session since I use a quest.

Yo. I only do one T pose since trackers don’t move. But if I dance I hit rest yaw shortcut button typically after each song. Takes 1 second. There is link in description how to make. If standing still or sitting I press yaw reset every 20-30 min. But I never stand still lol. Dance dance. In parts 12 slimes cost the same as one vive. But must have reset yaw button. So plug and play for 2500$ or tinker and tweak for 250$

@@Snitchie basically you just streagten out and double tap your chest tracker. if you go slime make sure the are using the good imu, with magnetometers.

@leion800 ⁠faster to use finger and press a button then arm and move it up to chest. I drift a lot sometime when dancing so the faster reset the better.

Looks awesome! I also want to get some but I wonder, how important are feet and neck trackers? And are there any issues with them being uncomfy? Im asking because having a strap around the neck and around the bottom of your feet sounds a bit irritating to be honest, especially if it gets hot. Would love to get some personal feedback on that. :)

Yo, the neck is like a "scarf" its warm , I dont notice any of my trackers. But if you check my newer videos you will see I dance in shoes now. So trackers are laced onto the shoes. (shoes are also slippery due to glued fake leather sole under). You will be fine with 10 tracekrs. ( feet, ankle, thigh, hip, chest and elbows ) I just experimented and ended up on 12 if I remove the neck I see something different in the mirror when dancing. So for me the more trackers = the more body languge = the more I can express myself. So the neck is basically the dot over the i , hehe. But I highly recommend elbows at least ^^ Regarding feet, depends on avatar, if you use avatar with no feet (robot or furry with paw things) u might not need feet. I shuffle dance so I must have feet and ankle ^^ Good luck and join the slimeVR discord if you wanna go the slimeVR way ^^

Do you have trackers on? and they are in steamVR menu? If not there is only sit/stand if half body.

So VRC says they have an 8 tracker limit. Is that just not true? Have a 13+4 set of limestones (3rd party slimes) otw and I’m getting mixed feedback on how that’s going to work with VRC

SlimeVR works differently. U need two slimes to get what one vive does. Feet + ankle. And yes max is 8 + hmd total 11 points. SlimeVR server takes all my 4 hip waist chest and neck into two vive. When I look down in steamvr I have 8 vive trackers but. Irl 12 slimes. So don’t worry 🥰

@@Snitchie Yea I would say that the way people are choosing to frame this is less than optimal lol. I was talking to people on the discord and finally figured out that slime server just turns however many trackers you have in to max 11 points in VRC. it seems slime users aren't misleading, but people who are observing from outside of the community not understanding the way it's often simplified to explain

All I know is that you must have tracker on head and hands to do this since in VR headsett and controllers count as 3 points. So first get trackers, then the software. Sorry dont know anymore I do vr with the trackers @@bdc_media564

I do drift if that is what you mean by sliding. But i have made a shortcut button (link in description) I press that often and always look at myself in mirror. Reset yaw button

What you mean touch the floor? I only touch the floor when I make a playspace with my pico 4 headset in the pico menu. But no floor touching with steamvr on slimes for me.

@walterej769 ⁠well pico headset is telling steamvr where floor is and I think steamvr tells SlimeVR where floor is. Since if I redraw play space while in vr I must reset trackers in SlimeVR

Here’s a fun fact. These sensors and boards are widely used in smart home stuff. Bosch makes the bmi160, but also bme280 for temperature and humidity sensing, or the bme680 for air quality… we’ve been building stuff like this for years now. You might have an easier time finding someone who makes sensors for their smart home who would be willing to make these for you instead of a VR one. Also, smart home and 3d printing makes a lot of sense so you’ll likely get someone who can also print your cases :D

@@Snitchie I’m from Europe so I couldn’t help you there. But I’d search for maker spaces, Facebook smart home groups, telegram groups, for starters. Spend a couple weeks getting to know people, see who interacts the most, then make a proposal. The parts are cheap but labor is not, so that’s the best way to start the conversation in my view.

Happy for you! What I do in this video I only do this one time ;) And I payed 250USD for my 12 trackers, compared to 2500usd if I where to get same tracking (11 point , 4 base stations) Since I only own Pico 4 I went with a 4090 gpu and slimes FBT. A button for the yaw reset on controller fixes the drift, but I do dream some nights about non drifting legs. So one day in future we upgrade FBT to something else. So many things coming now ;) Oh take a look at my newest dance video and u see slimes performance ;)

Yo yo , I use straps called Trilancer from Amazon. They are ment for cable managment and have rubber on the inside. So when placed directly on skin (hence no clothes its warm also) So they never move. @@M00NIN Here is thecomplete name "Trilancer Elastic Cinch Straps with Anti-Slip Strips, 12 "x 2" (8 Pack) Multipurpose Hook and Loop Bundling Stretchy Straps for Extension Cords, Cables, Ropes, Hoses, Bike, RV, Boat, Garden" these are 12' I have 3 packs of these and one with 24' so have spare and can wash easily and dont have to wait.
