Sling Band it, 

I like to wrap my sling around the fore end of my ar. I put a QD mount on the fore end to tie it attach it to the fore end once wrapped.

If you put your guns in gun socks you could get rid of that problem too. But then it might be hard to get to a gun fast if you needed it.

Hmmmm yes, but the real question is: should little brothers be given great birthday presents, or AMAZING birthday presents?
