Thanks for the great review Nick. I have one question. Do they give you DVR function (pause/rewind live TV) for the extra channels like NHRA and Unsolved Mysteries and similar channels?
As far as I know, the DVR is available on every station, but I don't use it all that often. Sling doesn't give you a ton of storage for free, so you might have to look at upgrading your storage option. The great thing about Sling is NO CONTRACTS, so you can cancel membership whenever you want, if you were looking at giving it a try.
Yeah, I looked into RU-vid TV, but I couldn't justify the price, so I never tried it. Sling's price point is pretty good for the content you can watch in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure both Blue and Orange have some semblance of sports programming. Off the top of my head, I think only one of them carries ESPN so I'd avoid that one🤣
Hi Nick! My family are really considering to switch from Directv to Sling. Everything looks and sounds great but how is the quality of content or picture quality? Id heard it only goes up to 1080p but what do you think? Thanks
I'm fairly sure it does only go to 1080p, which is the maximum resolution of my current TV. I, for one, have zero complaints about the picture quality. Whether I'm watching sports or an action-packed movie, I don't notice any lag in the picture or anything. If you're used to 4k resolution, then you might notice a difference, but I cannot speak for that since my TV doesn't support that resolution. One thing you could do is sign up for just a month to test it out. Sling doesn't lock you into a contract or anything. You can cancel at any time. Hope I was of some help to you!! Feel free to ask me anything else.
I won’t get it unless it adds nfl ticket all the baseball packages nba league pass college football and basketball marquee sports network and all the regional sports networks
Generally, from the guide is where you add your favorites if you're referring to channels. For specific programs, I believe this can be done from the guide by clicking on the program and then there is the ability to record, pause, favorite, etc
