It was/is Mark, I think a faster wind would keep in going in a straight climb, it's a 12-1 winder so with a bit more uumph from my able assistant hopefully it proves the case, either way the bungee is an instant result, cheers 🙂👍

That's interest, thanks, yes it was a little too windy I guess, unfortunately the tow hook isn't adjustable on this model, with hindsight I could have put on a double hook, my understanding is a good starting place is 30 degrees in front of the cg ... just a thought, if I move the cg forward it would have the same effect as moving the hook backwards ... may be worth trying? Cheers.

@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Yeah that might work, I mean I had to learn how to Hi-start launch by myself as I was teaching myself to fly R/C again after being away from flying for 12 years. The adjustable tow hook on mine was a new concept and I thought the PO had already adjusted it when I first flew it. When I launched it I was taking wild guesses, it could cover a lot of ground upwind without climbing much when the hook was set too far forward. I eventually discovered you needed to set the hook so that with a couple of clicks up trim it would leave your hand and immediately pitch up and climb at a truly shocking angle. First time this happened I thought it was going to stall out while climbing near vertically and smash itself to tiny bits. I think that you might try setting the hook's angle at 30 degrees foreward of the wing's center of lift.

Hi Bob, she makes sacrifices for our hobby! Yes, that's right, the rubber is attached to a fine piece of fishing line about three to four times the length of the rubber, cheers.

It's a Mobius Gudjon, a small frontal area so ideal for model mounting etc. The only drawback is if the day is light and then dark, the lens can't really cope as seen in this video. You can adjust the settings but it has to be done connected to a pc or laptop but it's not bad for what it is 👍
