you can "check hook" while pivoting off but its always counds on the situation you‘re in. Sometimes just changing the angle can be the better option (as an exemple when you are in the corner)

This is a slip out. I like to hold the opponent waste as he pivots and we start dancing. The whole point is to stay on the outside of his shoulder so he can’t hit you and you unload hooks, uppercuts and liver shots.

That was a clear shot at the liver that you just missed cause you think It is more important to pivot. I would rather crack him at the ribs than pivoting off... and have a chance at ending the fight right there.
I think this channel is more to help beginners and I don't think they are gonna know where to hit, especially when sparring for the first few times so teaching them to do something like pivot is a lot easier.
@@mui_7better to train for every situation. What if he feinted the right hand? If you go for the obvious, your opponent will prob know what you are going to do before you do
