IF you ever manage, I would love to see the comparison of hybrid vs none-hybrid CR-V. I know they supposedly have the same AWD system. What interests me is how the drivetrain reacts - if there are any differences at low throttle.

You are doing a great job thanks a lot but it is not enough to test vehicles on flat surface , you should create an inclination portable ramp to test if the remaining power on the active wheel is enough to carry the car up the hill which is the main idea of 4 wheel drive capability.

In my opinion torque distribution within axle should work better and with less revving

idk why i keep on watching these except for maybe they're fun. The roller test is for either agricultural machinery (tractors and stuff) or serious off-roaders who can lock all the diffs and send the power equally to all 4 wheels or disconnect either of the axles. I'm yet to hear about a system which can disengage 3 of the 4 wheels and send 100% of the power to only 1 of them. And when you start sending power to all wheels equally it's only a matter of who has the more powerful engine and better gear ratio (if it has high and low gears). This test is good to keep you entertained and show what each system is capable of, but don't rely on it to go offroading. This is a rally technology which is there for you when it's less grippy to keep you safer (and also faster) than FWD or RWD. The experience when you really need them is totally different to when you just wanna test how deep of a snowbank you can plow into. Neither of the systems will make a family estate car into a real offroader. Yes, it will put you place where no other RWD or FWD car will get, but if you didn't figure that out yourself, you might be in the single digit IQ range. And before someone jumps on - i've been driving quattro Audis for 11 years now and have no intention to ever change the brand nor the system.

Hi! Nice test with A6 torsen quattro. :-) What can we learn? Stands the rear axle on slippery round is that not a problem. Cool! Very intessing how the eletronic are working, relative slowy but effective I mean.

Fajne te testy tylko, że (przynajmniej dla mnie) przydałby się jakiś komentarz do poszczególnych typów napędów. Który lepszy/gorszy. Ja np. widzę tylko to, że jeden łatwiej wyjechał z wolnym przednim kołem a drugiemu lepiej poszło z wolnym tylnym. Tylko co to oznacza? Że to quattro w jednym ciągnie bardziej przodem a w drugim pcha tyłem? Nie znam się jak widać 🙂

I am speaking from NA specs but shouldn't the 2020 A6 have ultra (as described on USA website)? or is the TDI version still using torsen?

I think this torsen is the same with Q7/8 i saw exactly the same behavior. I am not sure but i think the car is struggling more on rollers with 22" rims, is possible to test the same car with smaller rims? I am curious. By the way you should some time to test all those cars in real contitions.

Mam allroada C5 4.2 '04 i stwierdzam, że te nowe wyglądają przy nim w taryfie offroad dość śmiesznie, uśmiercili allroada... Ps. Jakby co to zapraszam do Wielkopolski z rolkami ;)

moglibyście sprawdzić te SUV- y 4x4 typu Tucson , albo inne Q5 , X3

rolki rolkami a i tak wszystko sprowadza się do tego jaka jest sytuacja, obydwa napędy są praktycznie identyczne i jak jeden się zarypie to drugi gówno da. dla mnie nie ma tutaj lepszego tylko kto będzie lepiej potrafił wykorzystać ten napęd a na koleiny czy duży śnieg (50cm+) lepiej brać terenówkę i nie mam na myśli tutaj Q7 a coś jak G klasa czy Land Cruiser bo Q7 to jest dobre do pokonania krawężnika a nie na prawdę trudnego terenu ;)

Prawda jest taka że stary napęd quattro jest aż nad wyraz dobry do takiego auta jak kombi bo kto bierze takie auto w ciężki teren sam posiadam auta w quattro od ponad 10 lat i jedyne czego teraz tam czasem brakuje to reduktor który występował czasami w starej C4 w tym aucie najważniejsze jest stałe przekazywanie napędu bo przy aquaplaningu na autostradzie przy prędkości rzędu 140 nie ma czasu na włączanie napędów i "myślenie komputera " gdzie podać napęd bo coś się dzieje ...

They are effectively both Torsen cars, if you took an A4 running Haldex there would be a greater difference.

Noone will use this cars ofroad, 4x4 is meant for sportier driving nothing else.
