I hate it. It doesn't fit this kind of music. I like the trigger sound that samus uses better. For this stuff more thuddy and beefy toms sound better. But that's just my opinion.
Man that was intense. Pretty much any song you cover is complex. I'm beginning to become a casual fan of Slipknot, a band I never really enjoyed until I saw your covers of Slipknot. I wanna say thanks! Along with Slipknot, my favorite bands are Metallica, SOAD, Nirvana, Rush, and The Outfield. You know there's only 12 days until Christmas so just in case I don't see another one of your covers before then. MERRY CHRISTMAS!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! KEEP ROCKING ON!! PS: Sorry if it's alot.
Dude, with those bands, I bet you would like listening to and playing (if you play) System of a Down songs, Chop Suey, toxicity, needles, psychopath (pretty much anything off the toxicity album lol).
Nice job on the intro man if I practiced for like 100 yrs I still wouldn't get it on point like that dang love your mixing drum kit to backing track so awesome man!
Ive always watched your videos and josh steffens and your both really good. I suggest covering All Out Life by Slipknot. You're a really good drummer!! Also just wondering but i really love your drumkit (I could tell its inspired by Joey Jordison).
Great job again! You should check Wintersun - Sons of winter and stars. Overall that song is freaking amazing but from the drums point of view also super nice. It's pretty long though 13:31min but it is worth it :D
Your room is way too live for the style and quality of performance that you're putting into these videos. The cymbals and hi-hats are washing through everything. Have you considered installing sound panels to cut down on room reflections? It may not make a dramatic difference because of the room size but it would certainly help with audio capturing.
