Zac goes so hard every song!! He's a great addition to the nine!! This is the best Slipknot has looked since AHIG days...They are sound so tight!! 🤘🏻 If they do a S/T 25th Anniversary Tour the world better be prepared to be totally crushed.
Dear God this has got to be the clearest concert recording I’ve ever seen…. Awesome job…. And thanks for spending a small fortune on a bad ass camera 😂
People knock Blue Ridge Rock Festival for being a clusterfuck and rightfully so. However as chaotic as it was the artists were equally as good, this Slipknot concert is a prime example!
Blue ridge rock festival needs to be held accountable for their failed management and safety measures for their staff and attendees. Do not dismiss it because they sold us the greatest possible band line up and failed to follow through in every way. I'm amazed they put everyone at risk by still hosting things after Thursday night.
Lol indeed. They were the ONLY good thing about BRRF. The people and the bands kicked ass like always. Unfortunately the organizers (if you can even call em that) dropped the ball in every way possible.
I keep hearing how bad Blue Ridge is. Seems like a waste of money. The last one I’m to understand a lot of bands didn’t play because the management and workers quit due to being treated like shit.
seeing mick headbanging that hard makes me happy. not fully similar to how he does it before 2015 happened but he's getting there. i hope he fully recovers and get back to his low squat headbang/windmill stance
Yeah I was happy seeing him headbang again. I was awesome seeing them play Liberate and Purity live too. I got goosebumps seeing them play Purity live that night
Alright, so not only does Slipknot sound amazing… this is one of the best recordings from the crowd I think I’ve ever seen. In my opinion the only thing better would be professional recordings from multiple cameras, obviously beyond the crowd. Stellar work, beautiful picture, and sound quality that mostly sounds like a professional recording. Thank you for this! 🤘🏻
One of the best parts to the whole festival . I went up close to see coal chamber which was a awesome set then we moved back on the hill to watch Danzig and slipknot . The rest of the the festival well we all know it was a cluster fook .
White knuckled the rail for this show it was amazing. I'm glad I get to watch it again. Thank you for getting vip to film. Not only the better view, but we live in a time where people watch concerts through phones instead of breaking their necks like they should.
This was the last full official main festival set of Blue Ridge Rock Festival last weekend, Club Experience and pop up sets notwithstanding. This was the ONE full headlining set we had all weekend. And who knows, with how things are trending for the festival, it might just be its last.
@@Traviolie most of the staff had walked off the job by this point due to be overwhelmed and fed up . This whole thing was a major epic fail, as i'm sure you know.
im more and more convinced they played this show SOLELY for the sake of giving people what they paid for, not enough room for the entire production, no pyro, terrible conditions for bands even, im sure the payoff had alot to do with it. Its rare to see them on this small of a scale anymore.
Not so much now. A month after this show they can Jay. Tells ya a lot about Slipknots ( Corey and Clown) character. Don't get me wrong. Slipknot is one of my favorite bands but they won't be much starting next year.
man i wish whe would get some nice quality concerts on youtube again like in the days when no one could record them by self so they had huge tv equiptment but this concerts sound amazing as videos.
It has to do with the camera crew costs. You don't hire a full professional TV crew just for a small concert. Most of these are done for open spaces or huge massive audiences. Check their 2019 Download performance on YT, which had a full TV crew ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QO3j9niG1Og.html or the KNOTFEST 2014 one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZA8fUHxribE.html
Amazing performance! Great recording, my subwoofer was pounding and I didn't even need to turn it up 😆 I still can't believe that woman at the front row of a concert was like " Please stop touching me." what do you expect in the crowd of a metal concert...? 🤦🏻♂ people move around, jump, dance and mosh... get a grip, lady.
You're in the pit at a slipknot show, on the rail. Hahaha usually a good night is gettin some sweaty armpit on your ear for the gig. A bad night you are getting squished and tossed like being in a rough sea. Fuck off with that dont touch me shit.
bands should be ashamed to be associated with this festival for how we were treated and the staff were treated, I trusted going here because big bands like Slipknot were there.
There was a tour manager for Electric Callboy that made a whole video about the fest explaining everything that went down from the bands side of things. Staff for it was not the issue at hand, the production crew and promoter of the fest mismanaged EVERYTHING. All the stagehands and bands/crew were left in the dark by production so no one knew what the hell was even going on. It’s wild to know that the bands who played even got to play with all the info that was laid out.
Hard to believe Taylor is about to turn 50. There was an interview posted about a week ago of him talking about maybe having 5 years left in him. Odd shows here and there after that. It's wild to think about. They were my first concert, '09 tour of All Hope is Gone, I was 12
That’s what’s up slipknot was my 1st pit in 1999 lol when they were the opening band for coal chamber. . At a show that had roughly 2000 people there in total lol Coal Chamber, Slipknot, and Dope lol
As a 43 years old dude (went to 3 Slipknot giga when I was atill a kit) I can say yeah... You feel the weight of the passing years, even if you love what you do. The energy you can put into things is not the same.
The opposite of the stupidity of Travis Scott! At 16:07!! Bro I was in the lawn in Utah! You’re so close the camera angle is funny and if Corey throws something you’ll catch it! Lucky! Bro, your so close you can’t even tell how big the crowd is! Jealous !! Thanks for posting song time line!❤
I saw them back in the mid 2000s, where they practically played the whole self titled album, lots of Iowa, and a couple Vol 3 songs. The sheer stage brutality they brought back then was unmatched compared to how they are today. They really are a shadow of their former selves. To this day I've never been to a crazier show, and I've been to Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, GWAR and Amon Amarth. I know bands slow down as they age, but I just really miss the early days. I tried to like post Iowa albums, but just couldn't.
Crazy how Joey was able to stay in the pocket with his insane fills and an absolute shame Jay Weinberg isn't able to follow suit. Close ... but no cigar.
