I took my son to see Orbit Culture a week ago at a small 500 capacity venue here in Oklahoma City. It was a PHENOMENAL show. It's crazy to think just a week later, they're playing huge arenas 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I know right! In February I had the opportunity to interview them at a small club and they were one of the opening bands. They were just the nicest guys. For me it was so cool to see them in a big arena. I was so proud of them. It’s really cool to see them do well. Thank you for sharing my friend 🤘

I remember being in like 9th grade and discovering Slipknot. I was a huge fan back then but I don't even listen to them anymore. I haven't had a change to get familiar with Orbit Culture's discography yet. Need to work on that, they sounded great. As for Knocked Loose, I kinda like the music but the vocals are not my thing. But Suffocate with Poppy slays. 60 for parking is crazy! I know the value of money is totally different over there, but damn. All I can think about are those "things that would send a European into a coma" videos on tiktok. Your prices are definitely up on that list.

Trust me $60 for parking almost put me in a coma. Typically you can expect to pay $20-$25 for parking. I am pretty much the same way with Slipknot. I was a big fan in the early days, but have slipped off in the past decade. This show didn’t sway me either way. For me Knocked Loose is just fun. I admit the vocals are an acquired taste, but when you get into them, they are a fun band. Orbit Culture is still one of my favorites. I can’t say enough about them.

@@MattsMoshPit1 so where do I start with Orbit Culture?

Hello, I would start with the Nija album. If song specific go with North Star of Nija. For me my fav song is From The Inside of of the descent album. Honestly I love all of their songs.

Awesome video. I’m seeing Slipknot tomorrow in Gilford NH. I just moved from Saugus to my dream home. This will be my second time seeing them. I’ve have been a Slipknot fan since late 2010-2011 in seventh grade in middle school being the only kid in my class that gets the treatment from Slipknot first four albums from 1999-2008. & recently tuned in to their three latest albums. Can’t wait to see the best performance that Slipknot has ever done.

Orbit culture should have headlined this imho 😅 Also, imagine going to a concert with public transport, maybe to a venue like the Capitol in Hannover. It was built sometime in 1930, obviously it's been renovated a few times, but it's still very much a 1930 building. I love it 😂 And no need to park if you take the tram, more money for merch and overpriced drinks!

I would love to have seen Orbit Culture headline this show. The sad thing is they are doing a headlining club tour in the U.S. on off days, but not anywhere near me. I was happy to see knocked loose though. I wish we had the public transit like in Europe. Ours is very frustrating to work with, much slower and also not that much cheaper. Fortunately, I rarely have to go to the Baltimore arena. The next time will be in November for Iron Maiden. I will be at some Baltimore clubs in Sept, fortunately parking around those venues is around $20. It’s strange that there are a ton of music venues between me (in Virginia) and Baltimore, but for some reason all of the metal acts play in Silver Spring Maryland and Baltimore Maryland. Pop and rap acts typically play in DC and legacy rock and country acts tend to play in Virginia. I hate going to Baltimore but I am stuck. I guess I am just thankful that I live in an area where pretty much all bands play. I can’t complain

@@MattsMoshPit1 dude if you have that many options for going to concerts you have it pretty good! Almost nobody comes here, I always have to travel, and I don't drive, so I either have to figure out where to sleep or how to get back home in the middle of the night. A lot of rap and electro artists play here in town, not to mention Schlager but I prefer to pretend it doesn't exist, but very few metal bands I like. I usually look to Berlin, Hannover or Leipzig and hope it's not a weekday. For Feuerschwanz I actually went all the way to Wiesbaden, but I combined it with visiting a friend. Going to shows with public transport has its own interesting moments though. But for my next three ones I'll be going with people who do drive, otherwise I won't be able to go back home.

I am very thankful to be here. I always tell people that love live music to come to this area. We really get everything. At worst case we are 4 hours from New York. Honestly I have never had to go to a show in New York, because they always come here. I can say that the hour drive to the Maryland shows is getting to my wife. She said she doesn’t want to go to anymore Maryland shows after the ones she already committed to. Yes, it is the same person who convinced me to fly to London to see Arch Enemy and In Flames. Anyway after her rant on the Maryland shows, Nanowar of Steel just announced a show on her Birthday weekend in Baltimore, Maryland. Safe to say I have to miss out on that one. I wish they could have scheduled it for 2025, it would make things easier.

I am taking one for the team big time this weekend. On Saturday I am taking the wife to see Mama Mia at the Kennedy Center in DC and on Sunday I am taking my son and his friend to a rap concert (Ken Carson) in DC. I think I deserve Nanowar of Steel after that 😉. I’ll probably lose that battle though.

You wouldn’t need to worry about the cost for parking if there was a soccer or hockey game and an arena concert at the same time in Gothenburg because you would never find somewhere to park 😂. I think it’s a bit frustrating when a band I like seems to be stuck as support/special guest. I love Orbit Culture but I would never pay for Slipknot tickets just to see them play for 30-40 minutes.
@MattsMoshPit1

Good to know about Gothenburg parking. As far as the show goes. I would prefer a OC headlining show, but they aren’t doing that near me. I was a Slipknot fan back in the day. I also really wanted to see Knocked Loose. For me it was really all about the opening bands.

Maybe play the 1999 stuff and then give us the hits. ;)

I agree 100% I have been to quite a few album celebration shows and they always play the full album and then do a medley hits after or sprinkled in. I don’t know you feel about drummers 😉 but I think they should have showcased Eloy a little more since he is the new guy and a reason why some people went to the show. Thank you for checking out my vlog!

@@MattsMoshPit1 I thought they actually featured him quite a bit! Towards the end he was soloing over those changes for a few minutes. Thought that as pretty cool! Not sure if they usually do that or what but I enjoyed it:)

He did get some little moments, I guess I was just hoping for a full on drum solo. Just to highlight the new guy on the tour. It would have been a great way to extend their set (for those complaining that it was too short).
