I like seeing the differences in their stage setup over the years. 2000: We just need a couple Slipknot banners and some flashing lights. 2020: We want a night club in Hell.
They want to give fans something to look at and I can appreciate them putting money into it. - I'd be happy with my favorite bands on a compact stage in a smaller venue, but again, I appreciate them wanting to give a show. - Their budget in the beginning only allowed for some banners. That's probably literally the best they could do. - It's like MetallicA's 'Ride the Lightning' banner, which was their pride, and then the "Puppetz" backdrop but with some grave-stones added to the stage for effect. - Then they suddenly could afford a complete theme with "Justice", on to the big metal stage with a pit and a bridge, and the dual metal stage after that. - Fast-forward to like 2010 and they had a massive LED-screen for a stage with things popping up from it, pyros and laser-shows, with an extra-large Doris, actual electric chair and massive... toilet bowl... - Just saying; That's how that goes.
And I have to add; It seems like some of these bands go to the same production-companies or these production-companies follow the same trends. Cause stage-shows are becoming more "vertical". - This setup reminds me a lot of what Rammstein has been doing for a while now. - Well, there's Iron Maiden and even Slipknot themselves who had it even earlier. But like that even higher and more up-close setup... That's "in" now. - And of course; LEDs EVERYWHERE - PC-gamers wet dream, to live inside RBG.
@@michaelangeloh.5383 I just hate these boring trends! Why Slipknot has so much shit on stage is that it gives an illusion of a lot going on! They don’t have the same energy anymore and they try to replace it with whatever!
Definitely has gotten way better! I hope this year he's almost on par with Chris on his vocals, he when from pretty bad vocals in 2019 to some above average vocals in 2020!
Man I still go back to this live show and jeez everyone sounds on point, New Guy's vocals improved so much since 2019...make you think what he's gonna sound like this year 👀
Ha, thanks! I´ve already travelled to Brasil to see Slipknot in Sao Paulo back in 2015 and it´s more likely that I´ll travel to Chile this time but let´s see :) Cheers!
I think slipknot should bring back their iconic jumpsuits and wear them every concert like they did it from 1999 to 2005 maybe. I really miss their jumpsuits.
I‘m so sad I couldn’t see them in their prime. I would’ve lost my fucking mind in the moshpits with joey at the drums and Corey screaming his fucking throat out. They’re still good, sure, but so commercialised and polished. I love the raw anger and energy in their early concerts.
I love the 2020 sets so much. Can’t believe I’ll never get to see it now 😭😭😭 Thanks for sharing, band was on fire this entire cycle and only got better.
@@slicknickconcerts nice! I have tickets for Chicago and Milwaukee but due to the travel ban i might not be able to come to the states. wish you a great show
It was my first slipknot consert and what a awesome epic experience it was! Everything was amazing❤ i flipped out when jay pointed at me and grabbed my flag 🇧🇻, in return i got one of his drum stick! So epic 🤟
@@jaynapickett618 it’s still slipknot it’s the same band nothing really changed after they left. Slipknot changed a little after Joey left I guess but it’s still pretty similar.
wow, Tortilla Man did an awesome job ! I remember seeing a 2019 concert where he performed really poorly on Psychosocial. It's a LOT lot better this time !
I came from iceland to see this show and it was the last concert i saw before Covid started. And holy shit it was amazing, ive seen some amazing shows but this tops them!
Saw them in Sweden the day after this (I think) They were brutal! But to be honest, this wasn’t the best intro for me. My favourite intro was when I saw them live 2013. ”Get behind me satan and push” followed by Disasterpiece!!! 🤟
Danke für den Aufwand! In Zeiten wie diesen, wo man nicht weiß wie und ob man überhaupt wieder auf ein Konzert kann, eine gelungene Abwechslung! Ich schalte ein.
I was at the front row right by Corey at this show, my last show before the lockdown actually. It fucking killed me, I was so goddamn sweaty and worn out, imagine going out in Norwegian winter-cold after :)))))
