Here's something for ya. In the breakdown, where they start chanting, if you listen to every first word and put them together you'll get "Why Did I Not See Your True Face Until It Was Too Late". Blew my mind when I first found that out while listening to this song

The drummer is Jay Weinberg. He's the son of Max Weinberg, drummer for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band. He replaced Joey Jordison who was Slipknots original drummer. He was amazing. Double kick drum skills that were insane!

Corey Taylor is a true poet in my honest opinion. He really knows and appreciates the written word and how to write with such distinctive rhythm.

Corey Taylor is actually the only one who sings in this song (or in Slipknot in general), including the chorus. Dude has an incredible range! The other ones (Clown and Tortilla Man, or before that, Pinocchio) only do backup vocals when they perform live. Other songs I recommend by them are: My Plague, Left behind, Surfacing or Diluted. Otherwise: Re-arranged by Limp Bizkit, Numb by Linkin Park or Bored by Deftones are great songs too :)

Corey Taylor is definitely on my Mt. Rushmore of favorite musicians. From Slipknot to Stone Sour to his one man acoustic shows. The man's awesome

That is all Corey Taylor on vocals! His range is incredible! Should check out his other band, Stone Sour, which has a little more of his clean singing. If you really want to hear Corey flow, check out Slipknot's- Spit It Out, Only One or No Life. Or Stone Sour's- Get Inside! Also really need to hit the song he did with Tech 9- Wither, fucking Brutal! As for their masks, yes they do get new ones with every album cycle. Some get completely new designs (Corey, Sid) and some just make subtle little changes (Mick, Craig). As for them destroying the old ones, not sure about that. I know have quite a few that they keep in the Knotfest "museum" that they take on tour with them. Loved the reaction keep it up! 👍👍

It’s mainly Corey on the higher vocals, but Clown and Tortilla man (much like Chris Fehn) also do backing vocals as well.

The vocals are Corey. That high part is done mostly through production, though. If you see them perform this live it sounds quite a bit different, and better IMO.

I'm sure people have said this already, but vermillion parts 1 & 2 and snuff are two of the "softer" slipknot songs. Definitely something to check out.

Corey did a song with kid bookie called stuck in my ways. Also a song with tech nine called wither. Slip knot and korn did a cover together live of beastie boys "sabotage". You should check out Stone Sour so you can hear just how good Corey can sing. Some suggestions would be Tired, Orchids, Do me a favor, Bother, Song #3, Confligration, Gone Sovergn/Absolute Zero these 2 songs go together😁

They all have custom made masks for each member that they change every album... For example, clown graham (the guy that hit his head on the drums) has always worn clown masks and changes them every album, currently being that silver one....you can tell what album/time a live show or video is from by their masks.....i recommend you look up the members mask just to see how cool some of them are and to get to know who is who....🔥🤘rock on bruh🤘🔥

Zach de la Rocha are definitely the best rappers in rock/metal as they can both hold their own on a hip-hop track as well as the style their best known for. You should check out something from Mike's Fort Minor project, "Kenji" would be a good one but "Right Now", "Back Home", "Be Somebody" and "There They Go" are decent tracks too.

As far as live performances go, my personal favorites are The Blister Exists live on Kimmel, The Heretic Anthem live on Conan, and (sic) live at Download 2009.😊

Before you make your judgement on the best rapper in metal, there's a couple of less common metal bands you should check out. I'd suggest you check out Jared Gomes from the band Hed PE. Check out "Bartender" first. It's a more mellow and radio friendly song that gives you a good look at what they have to offer. If you enjoy it, follow it up with "Renegade" and "Pay Me". I'd also suggest you check Eric July from the band Backwordz. They're a less known band, but a personal favorite of mine. Try either "Statism", "Be Great", or "Self Ownership" Keep rockin' 🤘

Also I feel like Corey Taylor is the best metal frontman. Zach from rage is amazing but it’s not metal, linkin park is more of hard rock than metal so I would say mike is the best for rap/rock but as far as rap/metal, Corey Taylor takes the cake. And he was also the high pitched singer you’re hearing. He does everything but the backing vocals for the live shows. Shaun and Tortilla Man are there for the live backing but Shaun mainly provides backing vocals for some studio recordings but every voice you hear in a studio version is mostly Corey. The backing comes more for the live shows. Last person to really head the backing vocal department was Chris and he’s currently suing the band for not getting his share of royalties and proper payments from the band but he’s since left from I believe 2017-2018 and was replaced with Tortilla Man. Which was apparently confirmed as Chris Pfaff. Never heard of the guy but he’s definitely got talent especially since he’s been working on his backing skills since the tour started and he’s gotten a lot of progress in his vocal skills as of late but yeah if you needed a bit of current Slipknot history I thought I’d send my known info through for ya
