Hey all, the tuning of this song is Drop B and a bit sharp on the album, but for the sake of ease this lesson is in normal Drop B. Also, the last breakdown riff sounds great with the power chords too going from the first to fourth fret!

I must say that these tutorials are really great, because you try to play the riffs just like Slipknot does( instead of many people that don't even get the songs to sound somewhat right).It's just great to have people like you on RU-vid!

Hey bro @blackacre Doe Quick question i cant find anywhere in the Internet the pedal that s Beeing used on if rain is what u want in those bends.... I have no clue whick pedal makes that tight roaring Sound on the bends? Pls help Peace

Hey yeah, I just used a Whammy pedal. Just set it to one octave below along with your normal guitar signal and that's how I got the effect.

Appreciate the tutorial. I wished you taught the first part of the song, the riff under corey’s clean calm vocals. It goes with strumming across 0-7-1-8 frets and more but it’s hard to make out

What is partular with Slipknot it's it sounds in a way but it's most of time played in another way. That's why most of covers and tabs we can find are wrong. Great analyze

Blackacre Doe the single note melodic riff that starts the song I think it starts from the open to the 7th,1st,8th and 3rd frets I just don’t know what notes he’s hitting or how to play it at all

@@jaredf5907 Gotcha, to be honest I always go for Jim's parts since I connect with his playing more so I didn't look into that one. I think he's just outlining the chorus chords in octaves.
