Since filming this video I actually got up to date with what people's experience is with the k-Lite and... it ain't pretty.. it's scary lol check it out www.orchidboard.com/community/advanced-discussion/85148-lite-updates.html man I got some heat when I claimed that I am tempted to go with the Phalaenopsis studies made by the Michigan State University (.. I think), rather than the k-Lite studies which.. were a bit questionable IMO.. lol eh.. I'll still try it at least to have the experience and proof on video, maybe everyone is just wrong lol.. why on Earth is MSU making it though if people gave it up? late to the party perhaps? dunno, we'll see :D
Danny, I always love your videos! I havent been a day one subscriber, but it's been about 4 years now and I still watch you everyday. Of course I watch others but I'm sure many people do! Its hard these days to get true Info that you can either trace back to confirm or read about on a credible source. So I thank you for always telling us the most truthful Information and being honest. Because I know when you question things you aren't afraid to say so and you always explain the reasons why you do things. I appreciate the time and effort you put into all your videos and I look forward to watching new ones in the future. (Even the ads😫😫😜) also I buy everything in the repot me fertilizer separately . However the low PK is awesome since orchids tend to store as much as they can. And the calcium and magnesium amounts in that one is great! Id use that on everything. Also I've been adding the maxicrop seaweed... and using this in very low doses every day. I've seen such a great response I am blown away. The certain hormones it has in it is amazing. It has been a few months but I'm treating it like an experiment and I am very pleased. Anyway, see ya later happy growing. Much love , brandi
Danni, I hope you see this. I got my first orchid about a year ago; it’s a pink Phalaenopsis from Trader Joe’s, no name. I’ve always loved orchids and always wanted to have some but I was too scared to take care of them. I was scared to even water it. Then I saw one of your videos here on youtube and kept on watching until I got the confidence to take care of my orchid. My favorite part of my morning is drinking a cup of coffee and looking at my orchids and watching one of your videos. Like what I said I bought my first orchid 1 year ago; now a year later, I have 86 orchids now, they are thriving and some of them are even ready to rebloom!! My collection now consist of Phalaenopsis, Cattleyas, Paphiophedilum and Miltioniopsis. I just finished making a grow space just like yours. I just want to say heartfelt thank you for what you do. THANK YOU ♥️
Haha 1 orchid 1 year later...86!! 🤣 goshh you remind me of me! Lol everyday I watch her videos with my coffee, I look forward to them ! She has definitely been a huge impact in my growing as well!!! Keep growing on!!
diann h 😅 I’m trying to control myself haha! And I’m going to my first orchid show this September and I’m already thinking of where am I going to put whatever I purchase. Thank you, keep growing on as well!!
Hi there! 😊👋 I would love to have a compilation of how are the slippers. If you have not yet done a plan for an update on these cuties. Have a wonderful day!
Curious to know how you K Low experiment went! I have been just giving mine a fertilized spray, and then using a mix of distilled and tap water. No one seems unhappy, but would love to give them what they really want!
This was a great video ! Personally because I live in Canada I notice that I'm more excited about orchid videos and growing in spring and summer because I buy them in that season as well!! Not that I don't love the older orchids it's just exciting to see new growths, blooms , new structures like leaves during the summer months !
For the past 2 years, I have been using K- Lite exclusively on all my orchids with great success! Even my Phals performed beautifully .. blooming strong and still ongoing since February. Highly recommend it... bought mine at Rays.
Good video. I am still finding my way with the paphs. Mine are growing indoors right now due to the heat/humidity outside. They seem to be surviving. I just have to adjust the watering to get into an appropriate routine for them.
Hey Danni/Danny (I'm sorry if I wrote your name wrong. I'm new here please forgive me ^^°). I wanted to ask a question regarding my own Paphiopedilum Pinocchio. Maybe for the next Q&A video. It just opened its second bud and everything is going fine, but the "slipper" part of the flower is really dented and overall the flower is smaller than the first one. Will this fix itself or do I need to feed it more fertilizer maybe? Would be awesome if someone could help me with this. Thanks for making awesome videos! I´ll watch every single one whenever you decide to post them.
Hi Danny! I have had a Paph American Hybrid for more than two years in fine seramis. It is doing the great, the plant is huge and it has lot of leaves. But it has not bloomed for me yet, and I doubt it is a matter of light, because the cattleyas bloom in the same spot. Do you think I should change it to organic media?
Hello Danny i've got an advice to ask you. Flower man told than i could put my orchids outside under a tree to avoid direct sun with the external temperature around 20°c. What's your opinion? 😘
Dannie,I have a question on the very last slipper orchid.I have a similar 1 that also has the leaves kinda lying flat on the pot.Why is that? And what can I do ?
