if i recall correctly (i grew up learning about jp urban legends from my mom), there are certain things you can say to her that will confuse her such as "you're average" or the like - however, my favorite way to distract her is if you give her hard candy or money. i see she's still human lolol edit: i feel like i should mention that the song at 19:24 is about rolling acorns

Since there's such variance in the solution to appease her, I can only picture someone trying to combine each method into one, and it's funny as hell (to me)

From what I remember she'll ask you if she's pretty, if you say yes, she'll show you her face and ask the question again, if you say yes again, then she splits your face open like hers, if you say no, she kills you on the spot. If you shrug and say she's average or throw the question back at her, you might confuse her long enough to run off. But Manly's point about Japanese urban legends stands, you're very unlikely to survive these encounters, like how The Ring was pretty much symbolism for how your doom is inevitable, you can run, but they'll still get you in the end

Due to 2020 and 2021 we all have become Kuchisake-onna. But on a more serious note relating to the legend, You can get away from Kuchisake-onna by 3 methods actually, 1:by describing her appearance as "average", giving the individual enough time to run away; 2: distracting her by giving or throwing money or hard candies (particularly the kind of candy known as bekko ame, made of caramelised sugar) in her direction, and 3: by saying the word "pomade" three times. It is impossible to run away from her due to her supernatural speed.

Asian horror games have always been one of my biggest favorites just love the way they do horror.

First time She ask "Am I pretty?" (As i heard) it doesn't matter if you answer Yes or No , then she removes her medical mask and asks "How about now?" or "Am I still pretty?" That is when you ask something back to confuse her and run away... Some parts of stories can change from person to person....

Some would lament - poor girl, what a was of such a beauty. Others were vicious - we know she is trying very hard to steal the attention from our husband's away from us. She must be having an affair. The General/Warlords jealousy and distrust of his wife was fanned by rumors. One day he took her to town with him on his horse. During this time in particular a man who'd just moved into town came over to greet the General/Warlord, then he noticed the Generals wife, he comment how beautiful she was, then told the General how lucky he was. The General who'd gotten down saw the compliment caused his wife to smile and she was more beautiful then ever. This enraged the General, he rashly grabbed her arm and pulled her from the horse. With a swift movement he slit her mouth wide, leaving a terrible gaping mouth on his wife from ear to ear. The wife ran from her angry husband as he screamed at her for cheating. Everyone knew she hadn't, but stayed away the doctor refused to enter the gate of the home. After marring his wife's face and killing the man, the General left for 3 days. He thought she merely was angry and locked herself away in her room, but she'd committed suicide and had come back as an evil spirit. If you see her never answer her question straight forward, (insert various ways to survive).

So with the third ending she thought she was sharp of wit but instead you chopped her down to size, axe-ceptionally done Manly.

If she asked me if she was pretty I'd ask her why she cared so much what I thought about her looks then have a lovely therapy session with her to help her with her self image and get her to do affirmations to reinforce that she should love herself and not seek validation from random strangers.

I remember that to actually have a chance to escape when she asks you ,,Am I pretty?" you need to confuse her with something original like ,,Sorry Im gay" and immediately run away.

I paused at 14:34 to draw a sort of Excel chart in my notebook just to solve this... If you suppose the Son is youngest, you'll hit a roadblock. But assuming the Daughter is youngest, you'll get: •The Son is the victim; •The Daughter is the witness; •The Father is the helper; •The Mother is the killer. I hope I got it right, lol. Edit: What?? But in English, that would sound weird in this situation, so "Shit" (said when you are surprised angry or scared) fits better. You might think then, 'why not say くそ?' which means "Shit". You can. A lot of the sentences said in the video are not direct Japanese to English translations.

I saw the GameGrumps play a *Kuchisaka-Onna* horrow game for *Ghoul Grumps* a while back and it was terrible. This game is a 1,000 times better than the one they played. This game looks really pretty, too, I was inpressed by how good the vases and such looked. Also hearing Manly's *calm soothing voice* through whole thing made it a million times enjoyable! n_n

Oh my god, Kuchisake Onna. I remember reading about her four years ago. I don't remember all of it, but I was watching those bullshit vids that were like "Top 10 TRUE DISTURBING Japanese Urban Legends!" or something like that. Ever since I was terrified of her. I knew she wasn't real, and I was thousands of miles away from Japan, but damn, just the thought of her made my body itchy. Somehow I found my way to this channel and saw her on the thumbnail. And my actual first thought was, "This is her?" I had to look again. She honestly didn't scare me at all. Maybe because she is a game model so they can't really recreate the full scare of her actual look, but I ain't going on google to check what she really looks like. Still kinda terrified of that piece of shi- I MEAN urban legend.
