Slope Wing Build - Wing Warrior Raider

Got my hands on an original Wing Warrior Raider (slope version) and figured I would make a build video to capture the process of building and flying one of these epp wings. This build process applies to most epp slope wings.
It came in at 21 ounces, required 2 ounces of nose weight.

Nice cat. This made me get my Raider off the wall. It still flies perfectly. Pretty cool. For the last 4 years, I've been flying my M60 and Weasel at Dog Beach, Huntington Beach, and Temple Hill, Pomona. I never see anyone else, ever. The combat days are long gone. Nothing lasts forever. (except for my Raider)

I want to make a trip out to cali and get some beach soaring in soon. I have flown at daves beach in Carlsbad a few times and nothing beats that smooth beach lift!

@@mindofwij7443 Dave's beach is very nice. It was there that I flew my first slope glider. A Windrider Bee. My girlfriend used to live in San Diego so I'd always stop there and fly. Most of the guys that fly there have known each other forever. Pretty cool group of guys.

Any chance you would share the wire cutter g-code? I remember visiting the Wing Warrior shop back when I worked at the local FV hobby store. Still have an e version but would love to cut a couple of cores to build a few slope gliders...

Pretty awesome! I have a Raider too that I found recently. Ive been looking for one for a long time and almost was going to cut my own cores until I found someone on craigslist selling what they thought was the "zipper", I bought it and then realized it actually was a raider kit! Pretty fun to build and fly the same glider that I had over 15 years ago. I just wish I traced the airfoil before assembling it so I could make more in the future.

They are actually a progressive airfoil the center is different than the outer

Nicely done! If you ever get to combat with it, you'll want to bury your push-rods. Otherwise they're easily bent and ripped off.

I did snag this on rc groups !! They don’t make them anymore so when I saw one up for sale I had to get it!!😆 flies like a dream!

What dual rates and expos are you using for the zagi?

Real glider pilots don't use EPP thousands of wrinkles in the covering especially during a high G. term

@@markballenger513 keep an eye on the rcgroups glider classifieds! Thats where I found this one... someone had it new in box and I bought it for $70. People are always selling old original kits they never built.
