I live just east of el paso tx. Flying just before sunrise is always the best. Calm winds and it isnt 100°F+ yet. all summer i get up at 5am just to fly.
Nice cat. This made me get my Raider off the wall. It still flies perfectly. Pretty cool. For the last 4 years, I've been flying my M60 and Weasel at Dog Beach, Huntington Beach, and Temple Hill, Pomona. I never see anyone else, ever. The combat days are long gone. Nothing lasts forever. (except for my Raider)
I want to make a trip out to cali and get some beach soaring in soon. I have flown at daves beach in Carlsbad a few times and nothing beats that smooth beach lift!
@@mindofwij7443 Dave's beach is very nice. It was there that I flew my first slope glider. A Windrider Bee. My girlfriend used to live in San Diego so I'd always stop there and fly. Most of the guys that fly there have known each other forever. Pretty cool group of guys.
Back in 1998 I got both my cert 1 and 2 in the same day. I studied and passed my cert 2 test first then on launched day I flew both my 1 and 2 rockets. No fiberglass, no electronics and no software. I flew a Kosdon I motor and a Kosdon J motor. I never got to finish my cert 3 rocket, I was 19 and couldn’t afford to finish the project at the time. If anyone is going to do their 1 and 2 flights don’t over think it. Cheers
Awesome video. I wish you could still find that awesome wing. I’ve searched all over and it doesn’t seem like anyone makes slope wings like they used to.
I have just bought 2 of these Geronimo's second hand! I can't tell you how useful this video was. Thank you very, very much for going to so much trouble to make this video. Ross from Brisbane, Australia
Hey Mindofwij, Great video! I'm building the 3" Blackfly right now and wanting to know the mfg brand and size of your drogue and the size of your Top Flight chute? Also, did you use a GPS on the flight, if so, how did you mount it? I'm debuting on whether to leave the stock lenght or stretch the airframe 6". Please advise. Thx
Great video of the Madcow Aport-X. They have them back in stock and have been thinking about getting one. What was the mfg brand and size of your chute used in the vid?
Which came first - the pilot or the painter?? Awesome works, bright, trippy and eye-catching, love the deep, dark black. Can we expect any more videos on painting?
@@mindofwij7443 Great, I'll be there! Not many artists like yourself on RU-vid & I love this kind of stuff :) My own art is hovering somewhere between non-representative abstract and fantasy landscapes. I think some people call it intuitive painting, but it's not quite that either. Are you self-taught?
