Took a bit to work this out for me, but I finally figured out a way to get to that big stump reliably. I tried a bunch of different ways to reach that statically, but I'm just a bit to short. So I found leaning out to get under it and then going straight up in a quick move would let me latch it. I just have to fight the twist. The finish is also a little odd. I have to get pressed into the wall and then slowly and carefully bring the hands up to the finish hold.
