Slot Car Track Build and Race Carerra 

Jim, Your track is so cool. It brings back memories from a long time ago when I used to go to a slot car track on Friday and Saturday night to race. Not as high tech as what you are doing now but still a whole lot of fun. I still have a few cars from over fifty years ago. Thank you.

Welcome to Carrera and yes drinking is allowed with slots. I have the sign to prove it. 😃Very good introductory video. I liked the explanation of the hoist system and demonstration. Mines a little too big to put on a hoist through. 😉

Jim, very nice setup. I just updated my Carrera set to digital and set it up in my garage. The closest public track to me is Avon Park. I wanted something within walking distance. lol

@jimsflorida. I loved the video. I really admire your layout. I have mine in our family room. I am always on the lookout for a larger home here in DFW as I would like to create an outdoor racetrack around 200 ft or so. I’m looking for ways to weatherproof. Your lift system is a really great solution to a large layout and still useable space.

Didbyku use and boards under your polystyrene sheets never thought it would hold good way of keeping the cost done if you did looks good

I raise my 14 ft boat and trailer up in my shop. A great idea, also I added a light 💡 underneath to offset the darkness it created on the floor. As kids we had a slot car track in the basement and had a great time with our friends.

im a noob to this how many straights and curves I need I have the race to victory set I just received the high bank curve another set of curves along with 6 boxes of additional straights please help thanks
