Sponsored by Slot Car Corner: slotcarcorner.... Slot It screws I used in this project: slotcarcorner.... Tuning and track testing of the first Slot It Maserati GT3. Sorry for the bad sound at the beginning... ugh.
Thanks for all the information Dave!! Great series. Clem's track is HUGE!! Our club track is 9x32 w/4 lanes. That looks even bigger. Thanks again and keep them comin'!!
another topic... tires. I think you do quick slicks. What about PG urethane & truing... what do I get if I skip the $200 truing device... Can I get good results hand holding my car over a sheet of sandpaper glued to a piece of wood?
yeah I know once I heard it on my PC I knew I should have redone the first part of the video. The on track stuff half way though is normal sound. It's a learning process for me still about doing these videos.
Rather than add a pricey suspension, have you thought about taping the pod? Will help dampen the vibration from the motors. Speaking of which, a little Shoo Goo to secure the motor and/or adding a motor retaining screw will also help to take out vibration too. Coating the front tires with Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails nail polish to reduce grip will allow more roll out as well. Other than maybe a retaining screw, you’re still working with all stock parts 😁
