You shouldn't have to put up a disclaimer. It amazes me how rude people can be. I have a voice disorder. 4x's a year, my voice disappears for 6 weeks, and eventually, I won't be able to speak at all. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I am sorry that people are rude to you. You don't deserve it. It doesn't hinder anyone from hearing what you are saying. You are a great teacher. I appreciate you and your willingness to share your knowledge. Thank you!
You are so sweet and I appreciate your words of support and understanding. Thank you so much! I'm very sorry to hear about your troubles. I wish you the absolute best! ❤️
@creationsmisfit my troubles are a nuisance but I don't allow them to stop me from doing what I choose to do. I am happy and so blessed beyond measure. I hope you are able to find answers to your sinus issues. BTW, I am loving making this beanie. It is beautiful. I love all of the texture. Best to you and yours during this holiday season.❤
I have had several sinus surgeries. I can't believe anyone would make nasty comments. You're teaching FREE tutorials! I'm so sorry. Thank you for teaching me how to make this hat!
Exactly this! These tutorials are FREE! If people don’t like them, they should keep it moving and not be jerks. The sense of entitlement is what gets me. 😡
Your voice does sound naselly but I didn't think anything of it until you mentioned it. Your tutorials are great and you shouldn't need a disclaimer for what your voice sounds like! I'm sorry you've received rude comments about it, screw those people!!
Im sorry but it is annoying. On a video everyone prefers a soothing voice or a unique one idk the voice matters a lot in videos or podcasts or book readers. Having to listen to a video of this is pretty bad lol. I mean we are all human but it is bad lol. I would def revoice it on a better day.
Love it!! I finished the hat, and now I'm working on a matching scarf! Thank you! From York Springs, Pennsylvania! I'm making this for my best ❤ friend. I'll share pics when im finished.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful pattern and providing really clear instructions on now to make the piece. I'm so sorry people have been rude about your voice, what a bunch of jerks, and I hope you're feeling well again now!
Just saw comments about your voice and wanted to throw in that I have no problem at all with your voice, and in fact, thought it was quite appealing to listen to. I will say that there are some people that do voiceovers that do have voices that annoy me or are hard to understand because of a thick accent, etc.or some that are like really high-pitched that’s some to me. But I found your voice to be soothing to listen to and easy to understand so just throwing that out there for the record.
My dear please don't apologize for how you sound those people with those nasty comments says more about them than you thank you for this beautiful hat pattern. 😊
You discussed in R17 the reason for naming this Beanie. It's very sweet! This is the very first time I have handmade anything for my older Sister. We were separated @ 3 & 4 yrs old. We searched for years for each other. A few yrs ago we found one another again. So she asked me to crochet Her favorite Beanie but with more slouchy in it. I saw this Hat & said that's the One! Your hat is really pretty. I really appreciate how thorough you are too. Beautiful hat, great tutorial 😊 thanks 😊
Awww what a sweet thing to do for your sister! Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm sorry you were separated all those years 😞 What a gift to have found each other. I hope she loves the hat and thank you for your kind words 🥰
There is nothing wrong with her voice!!!! Beautiful hat sweetheart I can't wait to make it!!!!❤❤❤ I was born with a severe club foot and one leg is shorter than the other and one foot is 2 and half shoe sizes smaller than the other and I don't have muscle in one leg hardly any to be honest it's bone skinny and you would be shocked how I've been treated and worse then that even as adult!!!
@s_shaddows.4939 You are so kind, thank you very much for the sweet words! I'm sorry to hear how horrible people have been to you. It's sad that everyone can't just be helpful and loving, especially as we grow up. Thank you for watching and I hope you love your new hat! 🥰❤️
I also prefer voice/ video recording and your your is clear enough, I did my cap and finished it, just ignore people coming here for their own reasons not for what we are here for, thank you so much for such a beautiful pattern, you are a 🌟🌟👌👌👌
I have truly enjoyed making this hat and learning new stitches! I made it for a coworker who just moved from Hawaii to our rainy and cold Pacific Northwest, she loves it. My biggest AHH HA moment was when you put 84 stitches into the smaller brim of the hat with out an exact formula, it gave me the freedom to start looking at developing my own patterns and combinations of stitches. I love your style of teaching, I have now subscribed and will be doing more tutorials by you! Thank you.
Hi! Thank you so much for this amazing comment! I'm so glad your friend loved the hat. What a sweet gift you gave. And this is why I post these videos...to help others realize their potential. I hope you make some amazing patterns of your own! Thank you for watching and subscribing. I look forward to hearing about how some other videos worked for you! 🥰
Just made this for my daughter-in-law. Took me a couple of days. It has worked out lovely. Your directions were so easy to follow. Thank you. Will be making a couple more for gifts. X
Just finished this hat for my fiancé!! Worked it up in a day. Love this pattern so much, I was trying to loom knit a more intricate pattern and it wasn’t working out, so figured I’d crochet a beanie instead. Thank you!
I don't mind that it's a longer project as it is totally understandable given the beautiful detailing and what's even more amazing is that it's your creation. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this tutorial. Beautiful hat! 🥰
Hey! Thank you for the pattern and tutorial. It's super easy to follow. Made a hat for my husband, and he loves it! Used brown and green for the colors ❤😊
I just finished this hat. I am a beginner and I completed this with ease! My mother has been crocheting for over 60 years and I believe I have some of her talent. I can’t wait to show her. Thank you for this and I can’t wait to make one for my friend who is going through chemotherapy.
That is so awesome!! I'm proud of you and I'm sure your mom will be too. What a sweet gift that will be for your friend too. Best wishes to all of you. Thank you for watching! 🥰
@@HisEssenceofLife Hi! There are a lot of companies online and even Amazon or local shops like Joann's and Hobby Lobby have some. I bought mine online at The Beam City 😊
Moving forward. No longer apologize for things you can't help. Screw them! It's sad we live in a world where you are kindly showing us a great tutorial and they wanna complain about your voice?? Get outta here! They're irrelevant. You're amazing. Never forget that. Ty for showing me. I was getting frustrated 😣. I couldn't find a well explained slouchy hat tutorial. ❤❤ I've just started to learn crochet. And you can say I'm "hooked" 😂
Thank you!! This pattern came together really nicely and I got more practice with multiple stitches! I made this for my daughter and am so excited to provide warmth to her while she works out in the cold, delivering mail!
Oh I love this so much!! My sister is a post master now, but she spent over 15 years delivering on a walking route and we know the difficulties of that job!! Sending love to you and your daughter. We appreciate her hard work and thank you for watching 🥰
Prolly one of the best beanies I've made yet, thanks so much! Just got some chunky yarn so I'm going to look at ur other videos but thanks so much for posting this!!! ❤
@RheaSunshine aww, that makes me so happy to hear, thank you!! I hope you find some other fun things to make on my channel. I love working with chunky yarn! 😍
I’ve followed you hat pattern and it turned out beautifully. I used Impeccable yarn and the color is rose tweed. I’ve made it for my aunt who had brain surgery last week. She wanted a winter hat hat would help keep her head warm and cover the scar. This hat is filled with many textures but it is well worth the effort.
TBH I think this video is great and I LOVE the pattern. I just wanted to let you know that you didn't sound annoying at all! I hate that people were leaving you rude comments about how you sounded due to sinuses! Thank you for sharing your patterns and creations!
I love this hat! I'm making my 3rd one...all for me. They're too cute not to keep. And some people are just rude (regarding your nasal issue and talking). You be YOU & ignore those nasty comments. You're a great teacher!! Keep it up!!
This pattern is absolutely beautiful !!! I made it using worsted weight #4 cream colored yarn for my daughter for Christmas. It is gorgeous, and THANK YOU so much for your clear instructions :D
as someone who's been crocheting for 2 yrs, this tutorial is the best!!! its hard finding good tutorials and love how u explain the stiches and the rows in dept instead of just saying the row and not explaining anything.. for sure my favorite tutorial cant wait to make more hats also make the more slouchy one in a dk weight yarn, but its double with a white and blue light weight yarn, which looks great with this pattern!!!
What a sweet comment! You've made me smile so big. Thank you for loving the tutorial and letting me know 🥰 That sounds pretty with the double strand! I hope you will like some of my other tutorials as well and hopefully I will be filming more soon. Thank you! ❤️
I'm going to be making this after I finish some fingerless gloves. I made a slouchy hat for a friend of my grandson but I don't like it very much. This looks so nice and I want to do this one to give instead. Thanks for the great tutorial.
Thank you so much! I hope you love it. This has become one of my favorites as everyone has asked me to make them one, so I hope your grandson's friend likes it too! 🥰
I love your tutorial very easy to follow I just made the slouchy hat I think it came out great it took me about 5 hours I had to take a break 😊 thank you so much .
This might well be my favourite beanie I’ve made; and I’ve made many!!! I whipped up an infinity scarf to match using the same pattern and working in the round. So happy with how it all turned out. Thank you!
@alphabetsoup5030 that's so great to hear and what an awesome idea with the scarf! I appreciate you being here and hope to do more fun patterns soon. Happy New Year! 🎉
@CatEyes5240 thank you! I have a lot of tutorials on my channel if you'd like to take a look. And I will have more soon if you'd like to subscribe then you will get notified with new videos. Thank you for your sweet words ❤️
Thank you so much for making this very achievable by the way u explain so well. I am getting to making this right away. Am sorry about people who have not been kind in thier words to you. Don't mind them, focus on some of us who love u and look up to you. Much love from Cameroon.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I just started crocheting a few weeks ago and learned some new stitches in this video but you made it so simple to learn and understand. I made this for my daughter to make up for failed attempt at a slouch beanie using a different tutorial but the one I finished up yesterday using this one looks perfect!!! I felt like a pro making this and it went by so quickly. Can’t wait to try more of your patterns:)
Oh that makes me so happy!! That's fantastic that you've made this already since you're just beginning. I'm so glad this tutorial was helpful. Hopefully you will love some of my other tutorials as well. Welcome to crochet! 🥰
OMGoodness Im currently on row 8 on the Slouchy Robin (which is so gorgeous BTW thank u so much for sharing this.) and I couldn't stop thinking about u apologizing for ppl saying things about the way u sound. That's just terrible that ppl r so cruel. So I wanted to say thank u for putting up this video, and have a wonderful day. Now I'ma get back to crocheting and when I'm done I'll share a pic of my finished Slouchy Robin.
Aww thank you so much for the sweet comment! I'm glad you're enjoying the tutorial. Have a beautiful day and I'd love to see yours when it's finished! Thank you again 🥰
Thanks for the video. This is a very cute pattern. I’m from 🇧🇷 but I’m watching it from 🇮🇪 , and making this hat for my husband in orange colour with some rows in black 😋
I absolutely love this hat. I've made at least 15 RU-vid tutorial hats and beanies and this is my favourite! Amazing tutorial. I have lots of random half skeins of Marino wool. I wonder if I can make a multi coloured one???
That makes me so happy to hear! Thank you for watching and commenting. I would love to see it in multi color!! 😍 I have only done this one in solids so far.
So much fun tot make it....i will follow you for more of these things....i love it ❤❤❤ thankjoe When i have a photo i,l will send it here... I hope my English is well enough because i'm from Belgium 😅
How rude! If her voice is annoying u can excuse yourself to another video! This is a video to help make a piece of art! Not worry about what someone sounds like! Smh disgusting ppl. Ty for this seamlessly easy pattern! It works wonders!!
So I actually followed along and did this hat. It took me about a week to make. Thank you for explaining everything pretty well. My one issue was when almost ending a round I wish you’d explain that part better. I didn’t really understand if I should keep going or skip stitch and chain one or slip stitch.. I ended up just trying different things to make it work because I didn’t understand that part. So my hat didn’t come out too clean of the edging part but overall it worked. Overall I feel like you explained it pretty well so thank you. I had different yarn and different sized hooks (it’s all I had) so mine def came out a little different lol. But overall I think it’s wearable. Thank you ❤ I subscribed and will check out other videos . 🎉
Hi! Thank you so much for watching and for your valuable feedback. I will try to be more clear on future videos. For this hat, I slip stitched into the first stitch of each round and then chained before starting the next round. I'm so glad your hat turned out well enough to wear! Thank you for subscribing, I hope you will enjoy more of my videos 🥰
Oh I'd love to see it!! Thank you for watching the tutorial 🥰 If you're on Instagram, please send a pic or tag me @creationsmisfit. Or you can email jllouachai@yahoo.com
Morning, lol another text. So I'm on my last few rows, loving the hat. Now this hat is for my 4year old grand daughter, now the rim to the hat is about 16inches n the hat is looking fine but I was wondering if working less than 84stitches as long as it's an even number for the post stitches that the reduced number of stitches would be fine for the main part of the hat. Do you think this would work. Lol amazing how your mind ticks over on projects when your crocheting 😊. Have a lovely day
@annbashir5888 hi! Yes, that will be no problem at all. I've made them for children as well with less stitches and have just followed the pattern then. Since there is no decreasing in this hat, it's the same pattern for the hat no matter how many stitches. 🥰
@@creationsmisfit I will make another in a smaller size n I thought I’d make a pair of fingerless gloves in the same pattern as the hat to like make a set. You have given me inspiration thank you
@annbashir5888 that would be beautiful! I do have two video tutorials for fingerless gloves on my channel as well in case you'd like to make either of those. One of them is dragon scale/Mermaid gloves and the other is regular textured 😊
Hi. Just found your channel, I’m going to make the slouchy hat next. Don’t apologise for your voice, I thought you’d got a cold, hope you’re feeling better
@@breannatemnick7076 thank you! No, you can just do as many stitches as needed to go around her head. If you want it more loose or slouchy, just add maybe 10 extra stitches than what would fit snuggly on her head if that makes sense. I'm guessing more like 60 stitches, but I can't be sure.
Hi! Thank you so much!! You're so sweet and have given me a big smile 🥰 I will hopefully be doing more soon. It's been a crazy year and I look forward to getting back to videos as soon as I can. Thank you again 💓
I got lost when you did the first single crochet after closing up the brim. I'm a visual learner and can't tell where you did the stitches, I really would like to crochet this hat it's a lovely pattern
Hi, do you mean where I put in the stitch markers and single crocheted around? I just went into the tops of rows as best as I could to reach the amount of stitches we need inbetween each stitch marker. It's ok if it's not perfect, it won't be noticeable where you go in. Just be consistent in your stitches. I hope this helps! 🥰
Hi from Norway, and thank you! I just finished my frist slouchy beanie. One question; my yarn was size 4, but less "fluffy" than yours. That made the increase after the brim just 4 stiches, and the beanie did not sit as loose. I thought I could increase to 88 og 92 (double in fours so the finish is still as you show), as I could not find any other reason for the 84-rule than the finish being not too bulky and holey. What do you think?
Hi! Yes, you can definitely change the count to any number you'd like. Since we aren't doing decreases throughout the hat portion, any number of stitches would work to get the bulkier effect. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching!! 🥰
My grandma has cancer and will probably not survive, she asked me to make a hat for her and i chose this one. I am almost done! Hopefully she will love it.
Thank you for sharing! I completed the hat within the day, so it wasn't too bad at all. How many inches is your hat before you cinch it? Thank you for not letting people discourage you from doing voice overs. I love to hear voices instead of music lol when I heard you I thought "awww she's not feeling well and she's still pushing through to help us" then when you gave the disclaimer I was like 😑 humans get on every nerve I have 😂
You are so sweet, thank you very much!! 🥰 The less Slouchy version for me was 9 1/2" in length and 10" wide. The slouchy version was 10 1/2" in length and 11" wide 😊
Lots of love and healthy energy to you and your mom!! What a sweet thing for you to do. I'm so happy the tutorial will help with the hats she wants. Stay positive and see her as healthy as can be! ❤️
First off love your projects and your instructions. I do however have a question. Is the seam on the outside? Or inside? Because the inside doesn't look anything like the outside. And I would think that the seam being on the outside would not get sales.
Hi! Thank you 😊 The seam runs up the back on the outside but it mostly blends in to where you can't see it. I have made and sold a lot of these hats without any issue and had family members asking for them as well. They all wear them and I can't even see it. I hope this helps! 🥰
@creationsmisfit yeah I made it using up scraps. I used #5 and a bigger hook...I guess secretly I'm hoping it's going to be a cold winter lol...but it so cute. My husband loves it. ❤️ I love the textures. Thank you again for your great videos.
Quick question, because ive already had to restart my project 2x 😵 when i slip stitch to close the round is that my 84th stitch? Or should the slip stich be after my 84th stitch? Thanks for this video!
Hi! The slip stitch is after your 84th and does not count as a stitch. When you start the next round, go into your first stitch from the previous round. And when you end each round, you will go into the 84th stitch, not the slip stitch. I hope this is helpful! 🥰
Your voice does sound a bit raspy but that’s okay! You shouldn’t have to put a disclaimer or defend yourself! I’m sorry that you’re feeling the need to do so! People can be so rude and unfortunately thoughtless, especially virtually. Thank you for this tutorial! Loved the hat. I made it for my 14 y/o daughter and she too loved it! We’ve received many compliments as well! ❤
I didn’t even notice that you sounded nasally. It may be because I’m danish since here in the north almost everyone sounds like that for about 6-8 month each year 😂 Thanks for the tutorial 😊
@courtniedonaldson I buy mine from The Velvet Season online. They used to be called Beam City and they were great, but since they switched over, I feel like the quality has gone down. I may be looking for a new place too!
Hi! Hmmm..If you slip stitch in the back loop to join, pull the slip stitch tight, then ch 1 and sc in the same stitch as the join, you will minimize the seam. Also, be sure you are slip stitching into the first stitch and not the slip stitch from the previous round. I hope this helps! 😊
I am new to this, but was going to make my son a slouchy beanie and stuff crochet mushrooms and sew them on. The yarn is graduating, so the end sewing situation might not work. The color will show.
Even if you were not nasily, someone would have found something else wrong with your video. You should just mute them. Thank you for this FREE resource.
@@creationsmisfit in just at the age where I don't care what people say because you can't please everyone. Just keep those amazing pattrrns coming. I'm learning a lot.
I absolutely live this hat. I've made at least 15 RU-vid tutorial hats and beanies and this is my favourite! Amazing tutorial. I have lots of random half skeins of Marino wool. I wonder if I can make a multi coloured one???
