Step by step below :- 1. Both brakes are applied 2. Wheels are choked 3. Transmission is in neutral 4. Vehicle is secure 5. Start the truck then say :- • Current air pressure is above 90Psi • RPM is between 600 - 900 6. Yellow brake In (red out, don't touch it) 7. Drop down the air pressure and Say :- • Air pressure is below 80 psi • Air pressure is 85 Psi Time starts now • Air pressure is 100 Psi Time stops now 8. It took _____ seconds from 85 Psi to 100 Psi so there is no defect. If it takes more then 2 mins then it is a minor defect. 9. YELLOW BRAKE OUT, Now is Read from schedule 1.
That's what I was thinking. The Trailer supply valve is supposed to be pulled out after the primary gauge is at 100psi then lower the Air pressure to 80psi until it reaches 85psi then the timer starts from 2:00 minutes till it's at 100psi.
Why didnt you release your parking brake for this test (yellow should be pressed in) NOT applied. MTO would fail you for this test without Parking brake released.
