Recipe Video
OH MY!!! This dish is amazing! Comfort food carbs at their finest! :)
I love this dish at Bob Evans....I love this one even more!
Chicken Noodles in Slow Cooker
4 chicken breasts
4 C chicken broth
1 stick butter, sliced
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 carrots, chopped
1/2 sweet onion, chopped
Pepper to taste
Frozen Noodles
Opt: Celery stalk chopped
Add broth and soup into Crockpot, add veggies, chicken, and butter. Cook on low for 6 hours.
Take chicken out and shred using two forks. Add shredded chicken back to Crockpot and add noodles and pepper. Cook on low for 2 hours. Will be thick and delicious!
I serve over mashed potatoes.... don't judge! :)

When I was in HS in the 60’s the cafeteria served a dish very similar (minus the carrots) they used celery diced up. The gravy was fantastic and they served it on a plate with mountain high fresh baked rolls. Absolutely incredible.

Tammy, you made my day! I've seen at least a dozen videos of chicken & noodle recipes to use in my Instant Pot I just got for Xmas. I decided to watch 1 more video even though you are using a crock pot. Your video is the ONLY one serving this over mashed potatoes. Yes!!!!! That is exactly what I wanted to do. A little cornbread too (with hot butter and maple syrup). OK, I grew up in Northern Indiana farm country and we served bean soup that way too. Love it!! So much for an old guy!!

Made this the other night and oh my was this the BOMB. This is, if not the best, very close to the best dang crockpot recipe i ever made. Taste pretty close to the noodles & mashed potatoes my grandmother use to make. She would spend all day making it and this was SO easy to make. Awesome job!!!

Oh it's an ancient family secret! :) LOL!! I'm totally teasing - It is Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes found in the refrigerator section of the grocery. :) I try to make them sometimes but they are a lot of work and mine never turn out any better than the Bob Evans ones!

This is the best recipe I have seen yet (though quite a few of the brands of ingredients we don't get here in Australia, and my very favourite chicken flavouring isn't made any longer) And also, the Betty Crocker double ended spatula that you use, I have 2! They are my favourites! And I also got my first one to use to scoop out cans! LoL though I had to pay $3 each for mine at our "cheap" shop! I can't wait to try this recipe! Thanks for sharing

I've made it twice in 2 weeks. Love it. I add canned peas (drained) last 20 min. Top off with pepper medley (grinder) and since I have to have hot sauce of some sort I use Tabasco lol. Gives it a crazy zing

Thank you!! Everyone enjoyed the chicken & noodles!!!! Loved that I had 2 days of left overs! Worked out perfect with kids out for winter break!! I'm in N.Alabama and sent hubby to get those exact noodles he had to go to 3 different grocery stores to find them!! Lol. Finally, he got lucky,Publix had them! Only recently started carrying them!! My husband asked if it was a Northern thing? Lol.

I just made this but I used granulated chicken bouillon instead. It did not look as thick and creamy and yours but then again I just started it. Hope it turns out. :) I'm making cornbread to go with it.

TT.Scraps This was soo good. I made it yesterday because the weather was dreary. I ended up feeling pretty bad yesterday too along with my kiddos. We have all come down with something so it was the perfect meal. My husband asked me if I had planned on making it or if I made it because I wasn't feeling well. I told him it was in my plans I just happened to be sick. My 1 year old adored it. She couldn't get enough. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

I'm going to use Betty Crocker or Idahoan instant potatoes. They are a real timesaver and delicious! I did try making a gravy out of a can of Campbell's chicken and noodle soup but it didn't have the robust flavor I was after. This should be better. Thank you for the idea. I have made homemade noodles but mine are tough and too much work.

Oh lordy, now I need a slow cooker, I had one and got rid of it when I moved because I thought I would have no room, but low and behold I do haver a bit of room. I think I'm older than you, but in the late 60's and early 70's my mom used to buy TV dinners in the metal trays, I think the Banquet brand. My favorite was the chicken noodle dinner, it came with corn in one compartment and apples in the the other small section, but gosh your noodles remind me of that dish. I used to think those Saturday Night TV dinners were a real treat. We don't have those noodles here in Southern California, so I'll look for the Amish or Homemade brand noodles. When I get a cooker, I'll be sure to give this a try.

Pretty good stuff. When I opened the crock pot lid, the aroma filled the house and was intoxicating. I used 2 large breast pieces and 1 thigh, cut the butter to 1/2 stick and had to change to a larger dutch oven and finish in the oven on 275. I add my pepper after serving. Will definitely make it again, thanks much! Oh, I liked your crinkle cut carrots so used 2 fresh carrots and used my hand crinkle cutter, adds a nice touch. Was afraid noodles would be chewy but got them just the way I like. The soup base or B than B chicken which I keep on hand (latter after being out of fridge got a little runny), anyway I would describe it as a "paste".
