Considering you are only doing the regular videos more recently, the quality really is excellent. There are guys at this years with not nearly as natural or as good content. That’s no offence to them, just praise to you. Keep up the good work.
Hey mate i used to have the same issue with the low fuel presure on a case magnum mx240 pulling a 40 foot bar, it was so sever it used to set alarms and would force the tractor to shut down. i fixed it by adding a large fuel filter onto my diesel fuel trailer that i fill the machines up with. there must be some dirt, silt or rust in your fuel storage tanks on your farm or sometimes towing the fuel trailers behind a ute the DUST gets into them and sits in the fuel
Stuff in the fuel filter could be anything I suppose. In north America when we get black film looking bits in the filter we have to worry about bacteria. Have to keep adding a conditioner if we get it.
New subscriber here! Its amazing to follow an australian farmer. I myself grew up on a dairy and grain farm in Norway. A family member work a season at an australian grain farm back in the 90s and he told me stories of how big your fields are. And i must ask, have you seen any dangerous snakes while working in the fields or in your storage houses?
Glad you are enjoying the channel! Yer we do encounter the occasional snakes when working. Tiger Snakes are the worst we get here. Just leave them alone and they leave you alone.
I have to say your quality of video is top notch, you do a very good job of explaining. I'm a farm and ranch hand in Kansas started watching your channel to see how you farm over there. Two questions why does everyone wear high vis clothes, second I noticed you don't have def on your tractors do you not have to have it over there?
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the content! We wear a uniform and hi-vis is the best option that fits that. It means that we are all covered in terms of OHS and it is just a good practice to have on the farm to make sure everyone is safe. No we don't have to have DEF over here to the tractors don't come with it. There are some tractors that do but a lot of trucks over here now use it so that is where it is most common.
Hey JH was I right in imagining that you changed barley varieties mid field, I’ve never seen that done before, do you have a defined line of change or does it not matter.
Yer we did, as they are both feed varieties it isn't an issue. If it was malt then we would defiantly seperate them! There is a defined line between varieties as we switched to the new one at the start of a new run
You need to say “Wd40” if you’re looking for sponsorship, not chain lube😂How’s Bill’s air filter go being towed all the time? Should you turn the snorkel head around?
Yer poor bill does cop a bit of a flogging!! need to give the radiator a good blow out every now and then. Its not to bad having the snorkel on tho, doesn't seem to clog the filter up with to much dust.
