Actually he gained an advantage by going off line here by cutting the corner, but be proceeded to brake a bit to get rid of said advantage so he would not get penalised.
His line wasn’t just off, he should have let off the gas to turn the nose slightly more so that he could make the apex at the appropriate angle. The line is just as important as the steps to be able to follow said line
@captainslow_037 I don't know what to tell you bud, it's the same sound. Electric motors of the kind used in cars don't typically generate any sound from the electricity themselves, it's all from the gearboxes and bearings inside the motor.
@@captainslow_037speak for yourself. Fast is fast. I love banging gears and the sound of a V8 at 7500rpm as much as the next guy, but again, I came to cars for the fast.
In gran turismo 7, I notice all racers slow down on this turn, and I pass 3 to 4 cars and have so much speed on the striaght away to pass even more lol
It's really not that difficult of a corner IMO. The difficulty comes in that it is extremely blind, but if you get your right side tires up on the inner curbing, it becomes a much more straightforward section
Looks like most comments have missed the fact that he came off the throttle earlier for the transition rather than powered through and then tap the brakes which caused the other driver to go a bit squiffy. Like Jackie Stewart said," How you come out of the corner is more important than how you went in."
well he/she tapped the brakes and probably also lifted, saw the other porche gained from it and didn't wanna fight it. i dont think the cut was intentional, a porche will throw you if you fight with your grip too much so he just rode it out
Had the lead car not went off so much in the last turn I would say this is a perfect representation of the ideal racing line vs the fastest racing line
@@casedistorted r u asking what car i do it in or what car u would do it in? cuz i cant answer that second question the group i do it in uses a nissan sentra, hyundai elantra n, nissan altima, some vw i forget what one, just anything with 4 wheels and an engine. straight line speed doesnt matter as long as u know how to stay fast through the curves
@@abundantharmony i mean if ur smart about it u wont crash unless u get really unlucky. make sure u know the road well, drive the speed limit one way to check for any hazards (or cops), understand the physics of driving fast, and stay within your limits and the cars limits.
And a great example of the right turn-in point, apex and line and the wrong one. :-) There was a moment just before the apex where they were at completely different points at completely different angles.
To be honest I want to know how to get into automotive racing that will eventually lead me to compete internationally? I know it sounds off topic and I was wondering if you can help?
There is like 1000+ of motorsports using this kind of car(GrandToure Car) But my guess is this is probably World Endurance Championship. But if you want to watch only GT's car, you can watch GT World Challenges, 24H Series, GT World Cup or GT Intercontentional.
I know in the forza series and gt series that this section is all about the correct entry speed and using the driving line. No braking. OPs video does just that!
a porsche cup car alone costs you around 300k from porsche motorsport, then you need mechanics, a box and dont forget a racing driving license and racecar insurance
