About a squirrel that my family fell in love with, and how she got her semi-Korean name. Sponge Loop is a series of short Korean stories for Korean listening practice. Every Sponge Loop comes with the word-for-word translations, transcript and mp3 file. You can request them here: spongemind.org/

I like your voice and the way that you pronounce Korean in these short stories. It sounds very natural. Thank you!

@@SpongeMindTV talking about meeting, I have been doing repeated listening since I arrived Korea 2 years ago. Thanks to this my listening skills have improved tremendously. And I hope to meet you (Jonson), whenever you come to Korea.

@@gymcub That would be a lot of fun! My email is grow@spongemind.org. Stay safe and healthy, Williams. I heard the number of COVID cases was pretty crazy in Korea now.

When repetitive listening, am I suppose wait till I understand everything in a video to move on to the next?

I think there are a few different ways to approach it, and there is no right or wrong way. The way I do it (with German) is to listen to it a set number of times, read the transcript while looking up new words, and listen to it a set number of times again. And how many times I listen depends on how difficult the content is. As to when do I move on to a new resource, I usually shoot for 90% comprehension, not 100%. I move on when I feel I have squeezed most of the juice out of it, not every single drop. I hope this helps!

@@reactionkingdom7876 You are welcome! And I often find it helpful not to have any structure around it because it makes the experience more relaxing and enjoyable. For example, I would sometimes listen to the same file over and over until I get bored of it, and that's regardless of how much I understand or how many times I listened to it.

Oh some of the words used here weren't that easy so kudos to you!

@@SpongeMindTV I had to look up a few. Sentence, paragraph, plant (I only knew flower). That can be dangerous though. Once doing that the verb I used was NOT right and referred more to like stamina, like, in bed 😅 Oops. So I try to not use too many words I don't know to avoid that type of awkward mistake.
@SpongeMindTV
@SpongeMindTV 2 года назад
@@Learninglotsoflanguages You should use that stamina word with a native speaker and pretend that it was a "mistake" ;-)
