I think you could order more of the gold and do a solid, perfect cardigan, and THEN use all the rest of your stash to do a super lightweight laceweight one-strand faded top. That way you get your beautiful staple piece, AND your joyful crazy piece!

I think you should "go wild" and order silk mohair to match the yarn.....it's so beautiful, and I think you'll really love the finished result. Agree with the earlier comment about using the rest of your mohair stash for a colour mash up top!! 😊

Yes! Cotton mohair blend for the collar and cuffs ( next skin.) the others in stripes according to your preference. Maybe light to dark? Low to high contrast? Complementary colors next to each other? Or like Arne and Carlos, pull out the next color without looking! So fun!
Hi, Martina. Rol up your skein of yarn together with the cinnamon colour. You will fine out of you have enough. Slik mohair is often 200 centimeters per skein
Definitely stripe the different shades of bronze, rust and gray, but i wouldn’t add the bright vibrant orange pink blue or yellow. That way it stays classy and wardrobe friendly and uses up your stash and keeps you interested while you knit it. If you just go with one colour that matches perfectly, it may look beautiful too, but omg its a tough one to keep knitting on unless you add some texture, to keep from getting stockinette bored. I find if Im challenged, the project brings me much more joy and I will finish it. Good luck making a decision. I am currently woking on three wips, the Fern sweater by knitting for Olive, the Field sweater by Camilla Vad and the Renaissance sweater by Elenor Mortenson. All had challenges that kept me interested and some boring stockinette too, but if rotate between then I am a happy dappy Knitter!
Thanks for sharing your little sock pattern with us❤ For the cardigan I think you could make a little swatch with one side just the alpaca and one color of silk mohair (you could use a different colour for the ribbing &/ button band if you don't have enough but want to keep it coherent) and the other half with the different colours. All these colours could be so fun but maybe your indecisiveness comes from the main colours being so warm and the blue and pink being rather cool so they might not blend in as well... I could see those looking great on a light grey main colour :D Just try it out and follow your heart. Those beautiful silk mohairs can also wait for a future project, don't stress yourself out about those, they are patient :)

Ciao dolce Martina! ❤️ I think those colors are beautiful together but MAYBE they look better just by themselves, without the imagine alpaca, they are so bright and vibrant. Maybe you can use them for a spring layer mohair project. So that you will have two different projects: the beige (ish) perfect cardigan you want to have and use and a blouse or something to use up your beautiful mohair stash. Your videos are always so calming ❤️ thank you.

If it were me I would order mohair that matches and then use a different yarn and make a crazy colorful cardigan:) That idea actually inspired me to do the same!
You can choose the color of silk Mohair wich you have the most and do the front, to have a "clean" part and then do the arms, and at the back you can combine diferent crazy colors - you will not see them every time, but know, toate you have Joy by you❤ If you knit top down without interrupt the yarn, again: start with the color you have the most. Because silkmohair is very "Tricky" sometimes it seems to be not so much but at the end it's enough for entire garnment 😁 Anyway in this way you can start and decide later 😊

I like the mohair fade idea, but if you are second guessing yourself just get more of the first brown option - youd still be using some stash mohair. It will be lovely either way!
Thank you for sharing another video. I think for the cardigan you should get enough of a single color and then use the rest with a solid white (so each color mohair can really shine) in a striped sweater or shawl. That would be so much fun. As a matter of fact, I have a very small stash of mohair and I think I’ll do the same thing. Also, if you’re interested, I’d love to gift you one of my cardigan patterns. I’m thinking my Everyday Cardigan pattern would fit into your wardrobe beautifully. Please let me know when I can send it and I’ll get it to you right away. ❤
Your colorwork sweater is coming out beautifully!!! I love that alpaca yarn and I think it should be paired with a mohair/suri because I knitted a cardigan with just alpaca and it pilled a lot on the sleeves but not so much on the yoke of it where I had paired it with a mohair. I love the idea of combining different colors of the mohair with a yarn for a very creative look but, personally, I would prefer it to be more of a shawl or long scarf or even a hat/mitten combo. For a cardigan, my personal preference, would be to just stick to one color mohair with the other yarn...but again, this is all personal preference.
I like the first mohair/silk for your cardigan. You’re using up stash even though you need to buy a bit more. When knitting it will be a bit neutral with a little pop. I’d love to know what you decide.❤

I like the idea of interchangeably using the various colours of silk mohair. Question for you, would you use a whole skein at a time or use similar blocks of colours and continue to alternate as you knit? I think because there are so many different colours, I'd shorten the actual length of these and knit them interchangeably into the cardigan. I'm for it. It sounds interesting. Imagine how unique it could be. 😊 have a beautiful weekend
yes that's what i was thinking! i'm on my very first brioche project at the moment, because i wanted to use two colours but one was overpowering the other too much with all the patterns i tried, so i looked up techniques that emphasise one of two colours on either side and i am SO HAPPY with the brioche stripes! and the soft thick texture too 🥰 while researching it, i saw some colour blocks with one of two colours crossing over vertically and this immediately made me think of tartan/plaid patterns, so that's what i would do with martina's beautiful stash. no logical reason, just because it exites me personally 😊 and those colours are sooo pretty, i literally gasped at the sight of them toghether in the bag 😅
