I'd like to say I think this video is faked or rigged. I've been hunting water bottles in the wild for atleast 15 years now, and have never seen more than two bottles lined up in a row. I heard a story of a guy who went hunting wild and found 3 in a perfect line, but I found that hard to believe. These water bottles were either tamed and train, or sedated and slaughtered for fun. It's sad either way.

They had such a big reaction to Dan cutting through the table after Gavin figured it out... But isnt it more impressive that he cut a wood table and multiple bottles with a sword and didnt even realize he had hit a table?? Thats a wicked sharp sword if it cut through a table and Dan didnt feel enough resistance from hitting the wood to notice something was off

After this and the arrow cuts I'm convinced Dan is some kind of violence savant. Dude can cleave projectiles first try. Struggles a bit with still targets but in less than an afternoon nails down samurai level edge alignment.

I think it speaks volumes about the sharpness of the katana that you took a bit off the table off, and didn't even realise/feel it!

Watch 4:00 at 0.5 speed. You can see Newton's 3rd law in action, especially in the 10th bottle; the top halves flying upwards and the bottom halves being pushed downwards by the force of the blade transferring its kinetic energy through the bottles. Beautiful. Great video, as always.

Welcome back to another episode of: RU-vid RECOMMENDATION

If you guys ever do another video with the Katana or another sword I have some advice. The main reason Dan mostly flicked up when cutting the bottles was because he was relying on brute force. Its not a baseball bat. If you swing with all your might it will cut but will flick up or down depending on grip, but mostly up. Similar to golf, if you swing with a smooth stroke you will find the blade will do all the cutting and it will slice through like butter, as seen in the third attempt. Because Dan wasn't able to get a full amount of force behind the 'awkward' grip he was able to let the blade do most of the work. FYI the grip dan used in this attempt is close to a correct grip for a Katana. Hope to see you guys do more sword video's in the future and I hope this helps :)
