A quiet and relaxing weekend in Oslo, Norway after a long work week. I walk around the city with my dog Mochi in the gentle spring sunshine. We visit some nice neighborhoods with small, colorful wooden houses.

The two areas with the colorful wooden houses are called Vålerenga and Kampen. They are located right next to each other, so if you start in one area, you can easily walk to the next. Kampen is a tad more lively than Vålerenga since it has a lovely square in front of the church with two cafes (if I remember correctly) and a flower shop. But both areas are very quiet and calm residential areas. Great for slow walks. But it may bore you if you are looking for lots of shops and an urban, busy area.
It takes about 30 minutes to walk here from the Central station in the center of Oslo. But you can of course come here by bus, in which case I recommend that you download the public transportation app "Ruter". You can enter Vålerenga or Kampen in the app, and it will give you alternatives for which busses to take. Google maps will of course also be very helpful.
