The Coral Sea makes a rare run up the coast to just south of Point Conception to find some dinosaur Reds and Chucks, along with a few other surprises!
NOTE: The cow cod was safely released. For those that comment that they need to be released in the water, it is pretty much impossible to release a fish 10 feet below the rail. The deckie took off after setting the fish on the deck to grab the descender device in the stern and send the fish back down as quickly as possible. It is good to see that cows have continued to recover, as we have been catching more and more of them in relatively shallow water. Hopefully one day soon they will open them back up for limited take, like one per boat, or something like that as the population continues to increase.
