The primary focus is on the grape variety Bianchello. It's a local, indigenous grape variety that is the winery's primary focus for Bianchello del Metauro.
The tasting includes:
2021 Spumante Brut, made from Bianchello and Chardonnay
2021 Bianchello del Metauro
2021 Chiaraluce Bianchello del Metauro Superiore
This is a small wine estate, but it is sold in many markets around the world. If you'd like to contact them directly, the website link is posted below.

I'm Italian and I never heard about this wine before, so thank you for educating me 😊 you are so right, there are so many unknown varieties/producers that deserve better recognition ❤ thanks

Laura, I had to do research on it, as it was only vaguely familiar to me. I’m quite sure that Trebbiano plays a role in the history of Biancello.

I am a unique grape and wine fanatic. I like the different, a unique style with an under appreciated grape. Great video.

Hi Carl, I’m glad you enjoyed it. This type of video will get fewer views than blind tasting or wine shopping videos, but I think it’s important to sometimes have a change of pace video.

@@bobpaulinskimasterofwine I can see that that. But I’m a wine geek….I love the art, the family, the science, the history, the farming and the background. I’m glad constellation and gallo are in business but wine is as much about the passion as it is about the business. You’ll always have at least one fan of these types of videos. Cheers!

Bob, I am sitting here with the 2018 Crespaia Bianchello Del Metauro. I paid $13.50 for it from of one of my favorite wine shops here in Portland E&R. Turns out that there is a local importer, “Vin De Garde LLC”. Funny thing about living in the Portland area is that you had a video featuring a Trader Joe’s Zinfandel and I couldn’t find one, but a low production Italian white from a relatively unknown appellation, easy. You are so right about this wine. It is punching well above its price point, and best of all it is different. Apple fruit, but round and soft, smooth finish. I paired it with left over pizza because, I thought, well maybe that works, and yes, it did. The wine was able to enhance my pizza and make a clear presence. Fortunately, I bought two bottles. So, I have another chance to match a better pairing. Thanks for sharing your wine knowledge. Without it, I would have only had a Powerball ticket chance to discover this wine.

Hi Ron. Hahaha! The chance of this happening is slim to none and slim just about walked out the door. Interesting that you found a 2018. Good thing it was under a screw cap to keep it fresh. Glad it was still holding up. Cheers!

@@bobpaulinskimasterofwine There were 3 bottles available. I bought two, but I think theses bottles have been languishing for a while at the wine store. I found them in the online inventory and when I asked they had to do a bit of searching to find them. I think the store would have liked me to buy that last one. The screwcap did a fine job. I did not get any indication the wine was past prime. I picked up a few bottles from the "Jura" appellation while I was there. I want to see how that appellation differs from other French appellations growing the same varietals.

@@ronjohnson6406 I shared your story with the good people in Italy. They were very happy to hear you found the wine. Jura is fun, but not something that I’d often drink. Maybe I should do a future video on Jura.

"It's a global concept, [...] not only the fancy mark that you put on the bottle." Hopefully the next iteration on practical viticulture revolves around that assessment becoming a standard opinion.

Bob, hope you are doing well. Sometimes your glasses reflect a blueish glare, just to let you know. Best regards.

Daniel, thank you. I’ve tried to address by changing the lighting. Obviously it needs more work. Much appreciated.
