I have that same box. I recommend a slightly slower flow and replace half the black mat with outdoor carpet. Worked well for me.

try running more material through the sluice before you clean it out :) also try putting in smaller scoops at a time. Try running two buckets full through it then clean the sluice and pan it

Look at the land like it's a sluice box and dig it and pan that. Personally I can pan faster then most can sluice but I do enjoy a Garrett pan in your hand.

i think youre putting way too much soil through at a time on that size of sluice, pour it in less at a time and slower and you have to have it higher up in the water. you literally just want a shallow stream of water flowing over it, and for a two foot sluice you only want 2 inches of drop

looks like it's sitting too low in the water, maybe bring it up higher out of the water some. loots like the water is taking too much of the dirt away
