This scene in the film was the best scene of the entire film. Where Jamal runs to Latika through the trains. They are both finally free and it flashbacks all the awful things in his life and its all been worth it for this one moment and he kisses her scar and takes away all her pain. Honestly cried my eyes out dry
Indian People criticise Slumdog Millionaire's music saying AR Rahman has composed better scores than this but they has only heard "Jai Ho". But other tracks like O.. Saaya, Latika's theme, Mausam & Escape, Paper Planes and other tracks are just superb..
I heard this BGM 10 years ago (in 2011). This has been haunting me all these years. I forgot which movie it was from.. I always wanted to listen to it but I couldn’t .. I recently watched one of the AR Rahman’s interviews and he mentioned about it. Then I realised it’s from the legendary “Slumdog millionaire” movie.. I can’t believe it’s been haunting me for 10 years now.. I’m in tears . Thank you ARR!

I think the last scene when Jamal kissed Latika's scar is trying to tell us a lesson. If I am correct, before Jamal's lip touches Latika's face, there was a flashback, and then when the flashback ended, Jamal kissed her. Perhaps it's trying to tell us that Latika's perfect, but then she becomes no longer perfect because of the scar. However, Jamal loved her just the same. WE SHOULD ALL LEARN TO LOVE, LEARN TO ACCEPT SOMEONE WHOSE NO LONGER PERFECT.

This oscar winning movie was directed by a christian and hero cast being and Gujarati Hindu. The oscar winning song 'Jai Ho'was directed by a muslim and written by a sikh. And all you could see was islam...How pathetic

My favorite movie of all time. Watched it opening weekend. Seriously no other movie moved me as much as this film. I will always remember how I was on the edge of my seat when the phone was ringing or how much joy I felt when Jamal and Latika were reunited with this song playing in the background. So uplifting!
