9:00 I want to say this is where the story arcs _truly_ began. It wasn't with the Waluigi arc itself, or even Freddy Spaghettiria, but with original stories like these that had actual stakes, mysteries, and really pushed how unusual things could get. It started with these damn Luigi dolls. I mean, the thing with SMG4 lore and his story arcs is that you kind of need to know the history of the previous videos to understand what's going on... But the beauty of SMG4 is that _normally,_ things are so random and stupid that you generally don't know what's going on regardless. The difference now is that there _is_ context, and it's nice. It's rewarding. I can watch these ironically, or unironically, and still love them. Whether it's inside jokes or meme references or actual cinematography. That's what SMG4 is about. I don't think he's really changed like everyone says. Yeah, he makes more serious videos. And it's all really friggin good. Especially with how RU-vid is becoming stricter with vulgarity. Kinda makes sense that a film director would want to improve the quality of his videos, and that's pretty much what Luke is now. That's what he's always been. These goofy ahh videos have been leading up to that. It's nice. I hope more people appreciate that. A lot of these older comments saying SMG4 fell off, that his older videos are better, I think after some time passes, they'll realize just how good the story arcs, the character development, and the quality improvement is. When you do more growing up, you start to appreciate the finer things. But me? I can appreciate some top quality drama, and still laugh at stupid ass memes. That's just me.

I like how Mario moral alignment is literally random and chaotic, while Luigi is always Lawful and Good. Mr. L is like his evil counterpart that came in surface because of the cloning machine, which reminds me of that Star Trek episode where Kirk is cloned.

Man what an incredible episode! This is the Smg4 I like, the one that gets pretty original, solid, cracks some good hilarious jokes, brings new stuff to the table (like the minion), makes some good references and overall feels like he enjoyed doing this episode. if I could, I could subscribe 3 more times to this channel. keep it up man! (Also have you guys noticed how loyal he is with giving us one video every week? That something pretty admirable)

I never noticed how good the cinematography can be in SMG4’s vids, like at 9:25 there’s a Vertigo Shot, invented in Alfred Hitchcock’s movie Vertigo. Like how did SMG4 just get so naturally good that he just naturally put one of these advanced camera techniques in for a second like “ok sure whatever”

Personally am a fan of these and the older videos, I don't mind the newer ones, as well as the newer characters, but I prefer the classics.

I love the animation at 2:31 when they get out of the tube. Use that more often please lol

I love watching the old videos of SMG4 because it brings back sooo many memories...sweet...sweet memories... Edit: Judging from the likes on this it seems that a lot of people agree with me. No this isn't me saying thanks for the likes, I just wanted to say I am glad I have a lot of people who can agree. Coolio lol. Edit 2: Surprised people are still liking and replying to this. Whatever I just wanted to go ahead and say this. I don't think the new SMG4 stuff is bad or anything, in fact its really good with story-telling and emotional moments are really good in it. Its just that the old SMG4 has that weird feeling ya know? Just, nostalgia I guess. New and Old SMG4 are good in their own ways, none are better then the other.

I LOVE THIS VIDEO! It’s honestly super hilarious, it’s sad knowing this guy became obsessed with anime and made arcs about it. Like literally I miss when it was this era, I want old SMG4 to come back.
