With 3.6 kw on the shop roof I decided to jump up to around 10kw and use a string inverter this time. So here is my Sunny Boy 6000 US unboxing and solar plans for the shop. Next up will be ordering in Solar panels. I will show all the steps from start to finish on this Solar project and how to videos as well.

first six monthes no problems after that it's Elecrtical ground fault, unit kicking off. I reset it and it goes a couple days or weeks then it goes off again. Somebody needs to come up with a way to bypass this error code. I won't be using this system in my future set ups.

I have not got a chance to install mine yet. I'm waiting for my pallet of solar panels to arrive. But I did run across a company that makes inverters and they are here in the US. I'm going to get one of their 8kw off-grid inverters and see how well they do. And yes I'll be doing a product review video and install video for it.

@@codyoffgrid I'm using like ten year old panels. the sunny boy picks up on Electric DC arc faults. I shut it all down and reset it , and it will run for weeks without an issue. The 6000tl unit has already paid for itself. The new micro inverters and larger panels seem to be the way to go.
