Flat rate boxes and envelopes save me as well as millions others a ton of money. In this video I explain my uses for all the different kinds of flat rate boxes, and how to save money using them! Enjoy!
Just looking up some Shipping strategies and this was so helpful I have been a nervous wreck on whats good to use for shipping and this was amazing and helpful thank you
Thanks. I really hate RU-vidrs that waste our time taking half the video to get to the point. Time is the one commodity we can't ever get back so I wish RU-vidrs would stop wasting ours.
you should take a look at the regional rate boxes. free boxes like flat rate but it can be way cheaper to ship depending on location. you can look up the costs on usps site. takes in account your location "region" and where its going. if the shipping region is the same or next to where your shipping, it can be only a few dollars to ship anything that fits in the box
Really informative subject for this shipping newbie. Your content is very resourceful. Looking forward to your other video productions. Keep up the great work. Subscribed. Thank you!
Just came across your video and wanted to point out a couple of things to you. I am a USPS retired window clerk/SSA. First point, First class mail only has a weight limit of 13 ounces and anything heavier than 13 Oz must either be shipped Priority mail or Parcel post (which is parcels that weigh closer to 70 lbs.) And the second point is the Postal Service can ONLY order certain sizes of Priority boxes from the USPS order forms. Any time you come across a padded envelope or an odd sized Priority box it is because a customer dropped them off to USPS for other customers to use since they no longer had any use for them. And yes, that customer also went to the USPS website and had them shipped free to their address just like you did with your flat rate padded Priority mailer.
Hi Elaine you are right. They said it has to be 13oz or over. But, what I'm still trying to figure out is why are they charging on their website $7 for each flat rate padded envelope
Hi Luke, thank you for your introduction, I think there's some useful measurement tools or template rulers for USPS First Class mail on eBay, which are convenient and accurate.

Good video, but the items you are talking about i have not a clue what they are...also what were the demension of the large long box that ships for 18.50? thanks
