I love singing this song....amazing to think that this was written by Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent......who were responsible for the dreaded 'Neighbours' soap theme !....heck!....what a way to make a living !, as the Country Gazzette might have said!.......Hoping The Scene will make it to the UK soon.......well,....we can hope......8¬)
Yes, it was written by Trent & Hatch. It was originally the B side of a single by a very nice American called Don Lane who made his name in Australia in the 1960-70's. The A side was called You're Everything and you will find it on Your Tube. I know this as I played guitar for the writers and I played on the original A and B side! Just goes to show you that music can be written by anyone. By the way, if I had a dollar for every time the Neighbours theme had been played I would be very happy !
