Well both were stolen from “You Need Love” by Muddy Waters written by Willie Dixon. Dixon didn’t care to go after small faces bc there isn’t any royalty money there.

The irony is that Led Zeppelin were sued by Willie Dixon for ripping off his song, "You Need Love", settling out of court and with his name added to the credits for subsequent releases. I'm pretty sure that Dixon never took any action against Small Faces. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant had attended a number of Small Faces gigs and expressed an interest in the song. The Led Zeppelin song developed from an on stage improvisation based on a riff that Jimmy Page had written. In the words of Robert Plant "Page's riff was Page's riff. It was there before anything else. I just thought, 'well, what am I going to sing?' That was it, a nick. Now happily paid for. At the time, there was a lot of conversation about what to do. It was decided that it was so far away in time and influence that ... well, you only get caught when you're successful. That's the game".

James, the footage is from 1966, Zeppelin was formed in 1968. Absolutely! Robert Plant copied Steve Marriott. And being younger, Plant used to follow the SF around and was influenced by their music,
