(my house is still being buit - owner built. )The climate here is very different (Hout Bay, South Africa), but the whole process, your designs, lay out, choice of foliage... etc etc is informative and inspiring!.. and it,s beautifully peaceful, tranquil... Cute. I used to have lovely blue grey slate chippings in my front garden, but found that cats and foxes love using it as a toilet. Just a note if you choose to use gravel, chippings or stones..

I really enjoy watching you develop the garden; it is so inspiring. Wish you lived in Seattle, I would be pestering you to re-do my front yard and then the back yard and some work on the side yard...
