Awe Catherine, I’ve got you beat. I haven’t decorated seasonally for 10 years now since my husband died. I counted 24 totes of “ seasonal decorations! I’ve been decluttering my storage area for 4 months and I’m still at it. Never giving up til I’m done!
Catherine, you look so beautiful for a Mom who gave birth a few months ago!! Declutter is so necessary to clear things out, yes, it is very hard for me as well when it comes to those sentimental items but if they are in a closet not being used it is time to go! You feel refreshed once you declutter a cabinet or closet! Love that pizza oven!
Yes, I love your decluttering and arranging videos Catherine, you always have some good ideas on how to organize a variety of things in space-saving ways. thank you for today's motivation. Happy Mother's Day!!!🎈🎈
Good job on getting rid of the sentimental items, taking a picture of it and donating it or whatever. Nice encouragement. I know how difficult that is as I am the same way with those kind of items. 🌸
In the UK where I live we don't decorate for every season etc, we do just for Christmas and a tiny bit for halloween, I am minimum for Xmas and I don't do Halloween. 🌹
Put things away for no more than 1 month! If...You don't "need" it, pass it on to a charitable destination! I bet it'll be alot easier! Life is way too short to worry about what you are "hanging onto" because you *think* you'll need it "someday+" You won't! You'll be putting things in new bins instead later where it will sit for another year or more! Let it goooooi....It's just "schtuff!" Donate to those who will enjoy it as much as You, used to! Then treat yourself, to a job well done, and bring in something *small* as a gift!! For a job Well Done!! 🥰
I personally don't have a spending envelope in my budget for this reason. If I really need something I have to actually budget for it. This way clutter stays outside my house. So wasteful to just buy stuff instead of experiences. Great video 👍
Congratulations on getting back to your pre-pregnancy weight! I know you worked really hard! I have to work on letting sentimental things go too and hope to get better each time I declutter. Hope you have a great rest of the week!
Wow fantastic declutter once again ! As much as I like that you've been able to donate so much clothes, when you went through them, I was hoping you would have some that don't worth or just can't be donated as those are the things I struggle the most to get rid when it can only be tossed and we never see those in declutter videos.
I laughed so hard when you said you didn't even get ornaments on your tree because me too I was 7.5 months pregnant when Christmas came along and I would be more pregnant and tired by the time I would need to undecorate everything so I didn't really decorate. I only had my tree with lights and a star topper and that's it.
*HELPFUL HINT!!* WRAP AN 'UN-OPENED' TRASH/LAWN BAG (FOLDED as it came out of box/NOT OPENED!) *AROUND* YOUR CHAIR CUSHION *BEFORE...* PUTTING THE COVER BACK *ON*! SLIP THE TRASH/LAWN BAG (UNOPENED) OVER THE CUSHION, SLIP THE COVER OVER THE FRONT TO BACK CUSHION...SLIP COVER ON! PULL ON COVER STILL IN TACT *NOT NEARLY* AS DIFFICULT TO SLIP COVER BACK ON! **MUCH LESS STUGGLING!!** 5 MINS VS 20 MINS!
@@CatherineElaine I know you do! My baby boy lol (I know he is a man) is 22 graduating from college Saturday. I still feel the same way when he was little! May the Lord continue to bless you all!❤
Why do you have empty hangers taking up rod space in your small closet? Doesn’t this make you cram your clothes together? Have you thought of putting the hangers in a place that is not “prime real estate” until you need them?
