In today's video, we set out to cover some new grounds on the west side of Oahu. The birds were active, and reports of some Ahi coming up fueled the drive to hunt around for 100 miles. Although we didn't find the Ahi, we came home with some white and red meat for dinner, and got to try some new setups for the next trip!

haha little less than that, but definitely got a bit hairy. Good thing the 1730 handles! Whats the roughest you been in with yours?

@@SmallKineFishing So far, 4-6ft probably but hard to say exactly. They were rollers though so kind of spread out. I know the GoPros don't do it justice though. The upper Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California) isn't very deep and it can be windy but it's a sea so you don't have the swell. It caps often, almost daily in the afternoon but it's usually a much tighter chop. You'll take spray but you can still motor about 22mph.

It helps to keep my corner lines down and running straight. It also serves as a good indicator when a fish is on... especially for the electric reel that doesn't have an audible noise when a fish is pulling drag.
