This Small Modern Backyard property is a continuation of the epic pizza oven video we did. Link below. It's a very modern style that matches the exterior of the house design itself. It features a modern board-formed concrete firepit, sleek seat wall, small concrete kitchenette, detached covered structure, retro pizza oven, and built in planters; whoever's said you can't do anything with a small backyard?

Your hardscape looks exceptional! The concrete would press print thing kind of mirrors the siding, which is nice. Just needs a kick ass water feature… You can look up your local certified Aquascape contractor (CAC) to see who is in your area!

Be nice to see some price breakdowns/guidelines. Just generalizations, "pizza oven, this much" "fire place feature, this much". Love your work, want your work, not sure where to start if trying to acquire the looks.

First its beautiful, love it... Any possibility of getting a range of how much something like this costs (ie $30-40k, $40-50k, $50-60K, >$100k, etc), minus the pizza oven (which probably was $9-10k). I have no clue how much something like this would cost, would love to know to see if its a possibility for me. Thanks!

I love this! I want to do the same, but in my front yard. I unfortunately have a very small backyard and larger front yard/corner lot. Did you need a permit for the grill or fire pit? I am considering making my front yard my backyard. Please let me know.

We did not need a permit for those items in this property. I am not sure about your local area though. It's a pretty simple check with the City/County that you are in. Hope this helps

Great video and I subscribed right off the bat! Very nicely done video's. Request to see prices or round about prices if possible. I'm sure most people would do if they got a better idea how much vs having to ask or bother contractors for quotes beforehand. Most folks a very sticker shocked and some I'm sure would feel better knowing an average price at least. Again great videos!

Every market is different and I believe that my local market in Portland Oregon is on the high side of nation wide construction pricing. Are the beams in the corners set in the ground with concrete? Or set on a base holding it in place?

The posts are set deep into the ground. This is important for longevity and side movement like wind. Hope this helps..

Yes. If it helps they are 6x6's but after they are installed need to be a total of 8' tall. It would depend on your local code how deep those would need to be installed. So basically after the structure is built you want the bottom of the beam that sits on the posts to sit at 8' tall. That would put the peak of the structure right around 10' tall. That seems to be the money spot for maintaining a comfortable heat pocket and Outdoor Living aesthetic. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks for watching and commenting 🥰

It is a weird shape as it is 25 foot depth and 72 wide , with 5 foot set backs for building. 31 feet of it, actually is only 16 feet to the wall instead of 25 because of a bedroom that bumps out. Thanks again. love your content. I also have a an outside patio that needs privacy so I am implementing some concepts I learned above. You and your company are so talented... Stoked I found you.

There is a reason why most DIY and HGTV shows hold the big reveal til the end. It allows the brain (i.e. viewers) to process what they're seeing and builds anticipation for what might be. YOur build is amazing, but the video is a frustrating edit because I keep seeing the end product mixed in with the before.. It goes to fast from before to after before after before to after, but never allows me to take it all in, slowly and appreciatively, as is my desire. Next time talk it through on each component in consecutive order of build, but hold off the reveal until it's all done.

Yes. Although in many Counties/Cities then do allow detached "Accessory Structures" that are under 200sq ft (sometimes. 120sq ft) without a permit. Check with you local jurisdiction for what is allowed. Hope this helps

PT post will last a long time in concrete 40+ years. If you embed a post in concrete, trowel a peak around the post so water runs off, and don't let the PT post come in contact with the ground. I have learned to not mention price of projects over RU-vid... the reason is that there are some many different markets even in the US that It just wouldn't make sense for people in many other markets. Oh man, only a 5 minute video. Too bad you didn't have individual videos on each part. I'm good with the process of pavers but want to do board formed walls. Looks like you used slats for the texture. Was it vinyl or fiber cement like Hardie board? The video had a great unique vibe in how you presented.

We don't give pricing on this channel as our viewers are from all over the world and there are different prices in different places. I'm pretty straight forward when someone meets via Zoom for a design consultation and back that up with a pricing video.

I would recommend checking with a local contractor and getting a ball park from them. You probably will not be able to get exact pricing until you have completed a design. I hope this helps.
