I truly believe if you create a Backyard Living Space it will dramatically change your life! I'm not talking about small changes to your life…I’m talking about MAJOR life changes for you and those you care about!
Here’s the holdup…. People don’t know how to Design "true" Backyard Living Spaces. They still think it’s about improving their “Landscape”. It’s NOT Landscaping anymore, it’s “OUTDOOR LIVING”!
No one wants a Landscape to look at. People want to "LIVE" in their Outdoor Space. They want an extension of their home, a Backyard Environment that will attract their loved ones while building the best memories - each season of the year.
I call myself the “Backyard Design Guy”. I have spent my life learning and teaching myself the art of Backyard Living Design and I want to Guide you through this process. You can have the Backyard Living Space of your Dreams without making all the mistakes. Listen to what I say on my channel and if you need anything ... just ask me.
So you think I should make a covered area, with a kitchen, a fire pit, a tv and a bar? So you mean I should get everything? lol! Loved the video, you have some really cool designs!
Hi, my name is Tanya and I live in Antioch California and I have been living in this house for nine years and I have a small backyard and I would love you to take a look and see you could take what I already have and make it beautiful.
unfortunately living in an HOA controlled community, many of these options are not available to me. What are some ideas other than building structures to add privacy?
I do believe in "It is what it is." Its a smaller backyard. But I then say "What can I do with what I have? Time to play!" 😁😁😁 As for what would I do and your Top 5. In my humble opinion, you add way too much concrete, to include pavers. I would add to what I already have. Especially that triangle that had the nicely landscaped plantings. Not the artificial manufactured structures & curves.
I would have never thought we could fit the 6 destinations we are building right now in our smaller yard without your expertise, guidance and support on our design. It just doesn't even seem real some days until you step outside. Although we are still in the building phase, we are so excited as we get closer to seeing our design come to be. I would highly encourage anyone with a small yard to reach out to this team to see what's possible whether you are DIY or not!
Ian, these are actually very good ideas. My Nextdoor neighbors have a two story house and even though I have a large fig tree in my yard, it doesn’t provide enough privacy year round. I actually love your ideas and I will talk to my husband to see about utilize these ideas in our back yard so we can have more privacy. Thank you for sharing your ideas my friend. 👏🏾👏🏾💙💙💙‼️‼️
There are literally a billion ways to do it. Price depends on labor rate where you live, type of materials, type of design etc. Anywhere between $5,000 to over $100,000
Out watching movies under the stars... Brown buzzies on the screen, black buzzies crawling into your shirt and biting. I'm in the south and this is why I like a wood fire, you may smell like smoke and inhale quite a bit of smoke but it keeps the bugs away somewhat. You just need to switch positions with the breeze and have wood by the rick, at least.
Got a regular gas grill, 4 burner with side burner and rotisserie burner. Also have the big webber charcoal, a larger blackstone. And even a brick rocket stove. Need a replacement smoker our last one went up in smoke. Plus im saving up to have a heavy duty wood burning grill fabricated.
Love the videos but please slow down the photo rolls so you can see what’s going on in the photo. It’s so frustrating to see a design you like for a second but you can’t make out half of it because the photo switches.
I lost my comment. I have followed your advice. I live in a condo on a golf course and under the covered patio, i have a dining set. A sitting area and in the open space i erected a pergola which i have my grill and another sitting area. I love it.
Hi, I live in Toronto area, my back yard is small(23ft depth by 43ft wide, from the fence to the wall of the house). I have neighbor on a higher level and they can see our backyard easily. Do you design for Toronto area and build as well? Wasn't sure if you are based off only US.
I love your videos but I'd like to see you speaking in the corner of the page with the videos covering the page = it is better that way I think not distracting - love all you videos
