Family is so important especially when tradition s are handed down about true living. We all know in Idaho, Wait 10 min. It will change. Snow in mountains in May still. Idaho has so many hidden gems. Countless places to go, camp, hunt and fish. Off road ATV or Canams. Thank you for sharing.
Wowzers..your family DEFINITELY has a very very... beautiful homestead right there. That little river flowing all the time is so amazing that close to the cabin. Whoa..pure heaven! Thanks for sharing 👍
This makes me sorry I never visited Idaho, I would of stayed. Very beautiful place grandpa has created for his descendants, you guys are lucky he loves you so. ❤❤❤from Michigan
Very cool. Cherish those moments with your grandfather. He has built something special in those hills. Keep it in the family. Maybe one day you will be up there with your grand kids. Great video
Very nice and cozy . My wife is from Mountain Home , Idaho, this video made her homesick and has promised me she's gonna take me back and show me around God's Country lol . Iam gonna hold her to that , I can't wait . Love your video very much, want to see more . From Trenton , Georgia Happy Trails 👣
I feel like crying, but in a good way. This is perfect! I like the feeling. I would definitely live there with my son. Beautiful. Gorgeous. Perfect job.
Music is too loud, would much prefer to hear the brook (creek) and the birds. Thank you for sharing your grandpa's cabin, I'm sure he's had many years of fond memories with family and friends.
We're both retired, living off the grid in central, eastern ID, 3 hrs due S of Hamilton. Living off the grid, with a mini hydro (pelton wheel) has it's pluses and minuses. Town is 50 miles away. Well dug, FIL never hooked it to the house, so we get drinking water/spring from neighbor 3m up the road. We have a very large creek along the house, and a smaller one perpendicular to that, pretty helpful. Your "river" there, looks like a creek, not a river.
Absolutely beautiful! My husband says that doesn't look like Idaho. But I disagree. Can you please tell me what region of Idaho the beautiful property is located?
Our little family of five is moving into a cabin here soon and I am fairly certain it’s a neighboring cabin to this one , those hills are just too familiar 😉💜💫
He should dig out the river and dam up to keep the height and let the water just flow over the dam, that way he could actually take a dip the that creek
Love the cabin and surrounding area. I'm in a wheelchair now so watching the trail part was very cool and reminded me of treks I used to take. Yes more videos please. Oh great music too.
I was pretty surprised that there was no real kitchen in the cabin, just a microwave. No refrigerator or does he use the stream to keep things cold? Is this an elevation where there would be a lot of snow in the winter? I did see quite a few ways to cook outside but not sure if that would work in a snowy winter environment.
Love the set up but alarm bells when l saw the out house !!, That is so illegal, in most countries. Here in New Zealand the minimum distance is 30 meters (approx 100 feet) from a waterway. Waste contamination- gross. We are setting up cabins on our off the grid property. We have a lot of natural waterways and ditches to plan around when abiding by the rules around waterways verse human waste, and grey water. However l feel us Kiwis are a million light years ahead of most countries when it comes to respecting our natural habitat, and co-existing with nature without polluting it.
Nice cabin, but criminal that so much of the riverside vegetation has been removed. This destroys fish habitat by removing shade and cover, and also allowing the water temperature to rise too much in summer.
Criminal, huhhh. Looks like a small rocky stream with an over head canopy. Having less vegetation for 10-20 yard over the length of a stream that is thousands of yards long (or even miles) isn’t going to destroy the fish population. Get off your high horse.
