You've saved my life. I am the other end of our beautiful country. Sadly when I live I am in the middle of all the wildfires and the smoke has kept me indoors. I have always been convinced that no one, I repeat no one can teach to paint. You did it. Now I have a bit of serenity amid the chaos. Thank you lovely lady
Thank you for doing this video. Finally I understand not only the difference between the different types of paper but the best way to use them . Take care
Good evening 👋😊 Shadya 🌹thank you for this informational explainational video of the difference between the watercolour papers it was very helpful hope your and your family are doing well stay safe and be careful 🙏🖌️🎨💌🌹☺️ enjoy your weekend too 👍
Thank you for doing this video now every thing sounds simple and i love you so much you're always my inspiration 💕 most of my paintings are inspired by you
I had to say, I ordered the 48 pan set, you call your favorite (Munoz?) And, grabbed a pad of 100% cotton hot press, and some Nice Sable pointed round brushes. I'm telling you, because, I'm a Super Budget shopper. I had ordered a few open stock brushes, I just wasn't impressed with, At All. But- I finally had gotten a sunflower I was proud of, so, I decided to order better quality products. Today. I am taking a day for AuntBillie Arting. I'll be doing resin and other jewelry, coasters,.. but.. I'm most excited to use my New WC supplies. Thank you for ALL you Do! Sending Baby Sully, and the Campbell family warm vibes, Always!!
I just came across your channel and I got to say I love how detailed this video is. I like the fact that you are telling us step-by-step from what brushes you’re using to how you water the colors down if that makes any sense
Lovely! Especially the hydrangeas! I’m going to do them in my bullet journal in the little spot on my weekly layout that I allot for decoration. Do you have any videos with Spanish subtitles? I’d share them with my friends here in Peru.
There is a new paper called cold press soft (I can’t remember the brand) and it’s a little less rough than cold press which is especially good if you are outlining with ink. Nice paper!
Water colour is hard to control but I'm trying to control it . thanks you for lessons I feel like I'm improving a lot.i have a request can you please make video on waterColour cloud??? I'm struggling on it!
Great tutorial, Shayda. Question: I am struggling with deciding whether I can use brush pens/markers to incorporate calligraphy on my paintings. I understand that cold press paper will really fray the pens...have you used brush pens on hot press paper? any feelings on what to use to do calligraphy and hand lettering with my paintings. Faux calligraphy instead of using brush pens? just use a paintbrush to do the calligraphy.?.....anyone who has experience please help...
This was so helpful, thank you Shayda! I love hot pressed paper but struggle with colours drying so quickly and sometimes my paper doesn't absorb the colours at all. Even if I use just a small amount of colour there are tiny tiny "lakes" of colour (the shape of them I can't control, they emerge in a petal or leaf I've painted) that dry in a way I don't like (I use high quality paper). Does anybody else have this problem and know a solution? Maybe I give cold presses a try.
Try a slightly thicker consistency of paint to water and holding the brush completely vertically. Aim for a small droplet and then leave it alone. See if that works for you. Good luck.
