4/22/24 - Michigan trout opener in 5 days. Northern Lower Peninsula. I will catch some 6"-8" brook trout. I will be really happy with one or two 10-inchers. A 12" brookie (or specs as they call them in Ontario) would be a nice "stretch goal." A 15" brookie is a lifetime catch. In my wildest "genie out of a bottle" dream, I would be catching nine-pounders in Labrador... on a dry fly!!! Nice video. I was up thataway (Longlac) back in '77 and '78. Slayed the walleye. Beautiful camera work. Thank you. sw

This year will be me and my brothers 13 trip to Esnagami. Been coming off and on since 95. Ethan is a great guide. Have a great time with him. This is the best episode of Esnagami I have seen from any show.

I live in Marathon On and ya we are spoiled with great scenery, spectacular wildlife and the best pickerel and trout fishing on pollution free remote lakes in the world. Love it here and the ice fishing cant be topped either lol

We canoed the whole Esnagami River in 1990, before any bridges were built across it….. incredible trip, pools full of brook trout, and endless solitude.

Why was it that the trout fishing didn't occur until 20 minutes into an episode entitled "Small River Brook Trout"?

The show was principally about brook trout but Mikey was detailing all the different aspects of this trip. he actually had to wait a few days before getting an opportunity to go on the river to fish for the brook trout

Beautiful filming but disappointed with the content-and the title is misleading. "Elitist Brook Trout Fishing" would be a more apt title. My brother and I could set a more apt itinerary for you.
