"after 10 years of hard work in New York, David barely managed to save half a million dollars to buy a 1 square meter apartment" Sounds about right. Not even a joke.
Actually, it is a joke because most people don't do this right. 1. Living in a car helps you save a lot of money. 2. Investing in the stock market correctly, will help you make money. 3. Finding passive income sources you can do on the side helps you make more money to save. 4. Pulling a 2nd job and putting all that money towards investments is worth it. Most people don't do this. 5. Living in another state and commuting to work is even cheaper!
What don't you like about galvanised square steel? I've never really thought about galvanised square steel to form an opinion. To be honest, galvanised square steel looks quite useful for situations where something that isn't galvanised square steel wouldn't be as good as galvanised square steel. In fact I wouldn't have any hesitation using galvanised square steel in situations where only galvanised square steel woukd do the job.
If they extended the window with galvanized steel and made it into more space. This would’ve made the living conditions better then, have a small space for a small folding table and a cooking stove a small sink and a couple of cabinets as food storage. Then have the upstairs as folding beds facing the window and under the bed will be enough storage for clothes and books etc.. then down the hallway of the apartment building. They will have their own private small shower and toilet,
The toilet lid serves as a countertop for a hot plate and the toilet doubles as a sink and cooler for perishable food items and drinks. A small custom wooden box under the desk can serve as storage for cooking supplies and toiletries. 😂
I’m not claiming a family of 3 could, but you underestimate New Yorkers. My friend was renting out the walk in closet in his flat for $600 a month (it fit a twin bed on the floor and had shelves above it for storage)
